Regardless of anyone’s political views, this coin has been universally disliked. It violates the country’s law and tradition that no living person be featured on currency. Not to mention this coin steals Frank Gasparos design from the reverse of the half dollar, and uses his FG signature without his consent. And the design is not emblematic in any way of the semiquincentennial, which is why this is supposed to be issued.

Laws that this violates:

The 1866 Thayer Amendment clearly prohibits living individuals from appearing on U.S currency, and coins are currency. This coin being minted will violate this law and break a tradition that has been followed since the founding of the country. 

SEC. 3, (C) of the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020 states that “The Secretary may, in addition to the coins produced under subsections (r) and (w), mint for issuance during the one-year period beginning January 1, 2026, $1 dollar coins with designs emblematic of the United States semiquincentennial”. The coin however, is not emblematic of the United States semiquincentennial in any way. The presidents face and the presidential seal have nothing to do with the semiquincentennial.

Does anyone know what is happening to my trees, and how I can help them? The large maple tree never grew its leaves back this spring, and still has some brown leaves from last fall. The other large maple tree on the right side is separate and died several years ago. The small one on the left side was looking great, until a few days after I took these pictures, when the leaves started shriveling. Before anyone says, I did remove the weeds and vines growing around the trees. I’m not sure if this is related, but there is a section of fence around the trees that has been falling over on the ground. I really can’t afford to lose these trees, since they are the only privacy I have from the school next door, so please let me know what I can do. Thank you.

Hi everyone. I’m not very experienced with ancient coins, but am trying to identify these coins and can not find any matches. I know the third coin is Greek and the others are Roman. I also know the fourth coin is silver and the first 3 are bronze. Any help would be really appreciated.
