Do you guys actually like gamification in productivity apps?

Personally in the apps ive used and abandoned (finch, fabulous) the gamification and visuals didnt much for me, nor did the visual progress trackers/dashboard for other apps ive tried (like notion templates n stuff)

To me it feels like a feature thats optimize for a billboard or a screenshot to show off, rather than something that feels meaningfully useful to me

Wanted to know if others felt the same sentiment

Do you guys stick to your time blocks when you set them

Again being transparent this is for market research for an app im making but its something i personally struggle with. Also if you miss a time block what do you do/feel after?

Anyone else find that productivity/habit tracker apps have become too convoluted?

To be transparent, I am thinking about making an app that addresses this but im trying to assess if the problem actually exists or if its just a me thing. Like stuff like Finch, Notion, Fabulous I get motivated to use and commit to and then I eventually just abandon it because the actual action of having to type in all this shit creates friction or theres some feature i dont care about etc

Best white and black openings to onetrick as a beginner?

Hi everyone, im currently trying to learn chess (200 elo) and have been watching some content on youtube and have noticed people talk alot about certain openings and to be honest ive been trying to avoid memorizing because I hate memorizing but I think it would be best if I have a reliable opening for white opening and black defense just so I can learn the game properly because right now im just making alot of accidental blunders and hanging pieces

If you have suggestions for openings on both sides for learning the game and ideally is also versatile and can be taken to higher elos, I would very much appreciate it!

Thanks
