Meanwhile in the tiny rural town south of Pullman, a cop calls a pup that got out of its fenced yard, chased a cat and a town employee, it comes to the cop and she shoots it

This dog is not a biter or attack dog. It has a high chase prey drive. Watch the video of what the cop did and how the sheriff reacted. Think on this when you vote for Bret Meyer who is up for re-election. If you visit the FB post about what happened in Uniontown, Nicole explains in another earlier post what happened in detail. She is candid about what her pup did and the training she wants of the Colfax sheriff department, which is our rural police department and animal control. Warning: the video is hard to watch. What bugged me is that the cop whistled for the dog and called ...and Bo, the pup, came to her and then was shot. What do you think? Are you willing to complain to the sheriff department? If so, please do. There were other ways to handle this without the pup losing its leg to amputation at $7000. It made me sad.

New hair stylist cancelled my appointment -- alternatives?

I'm an older woman. First, know that I never, ever, ever am a no-show for an appointment but I appreciate the concern. I'm old-school -- come early and never be late. My current long-time stylist is unable to cut my hair for seven weeks. I'm looking for a stylist to do it sooner. I had a woman at a two-person salon in Pullman say she could do it this Tuesday. Initially, it took four days for her to get back to my text asking for an appointment. She requires text or email contact. After confirmation, today I got two texts from Varga. My long-time stylist does not use a booking system, and neither did my prior stylist of 25 years. I read all the fine print carefully. I had a few questions, eg, could I instead pay now, could the card on file be deleted if I didn't return, and tell me about the automatic charges for memberships and subscriptions it mentioned in the fine print?

Her reply? She cancelled my appointment, saying this felt too complicated and she hoped I found someone better suited to work with.

Came across as rather unfriendly to a possible new client, but I replied thank you and wished her the best. I was glad to know about her reaction to customer questions on policy before she snipped. I guess I'm thankful for you letting me vent. Helps to "get it out."

Now I need to find an alternative. All I need is my same style, which is chin-length and layered, and use of sulfate shampoo, as I have demi color in my hair. Any suggestions?

Which type of partial denture: cast metal or flexible?

I am having a terrible time deciding between cast metal or flexible partial dentures. I am missing molars on the upper left side. I need to have a tooth pulled that is in the front, on the bottom. The place recommending flexible will put them in immediately after my dentist pulls the front bottom tooth. He didn't say anything about coming in for adjustments or anything else It's appealing to have it all done the same day. The other office is farther away and will be hard for me to get to during the winter. He said the process will take five to six months. He wants me to wait three months for the pulled front tooth to heal. That puts me at November. Then he does a mold and sends it out to be created. Then we have to adjust, fit, look at the color teeth, and do adjustments until it is just right. I'll be driving down a 6 percent grade in foggy, icy, snowy weather which scares me as I am a senior who lives alone. I am so confused as to which to choose!! If it helps, here are the teeth I am missing: 12, 13, 14, 15, 2, 3 and 31, 30, 28, 18, 24.

I get cleanings done three times each year. My gums and bone are fine. The remaining teeth are fine.

Any advice?

Plumber Recommendations?

So a plumber in Moscow said he'd charge me $250 to come to Colton (12 miles south of Pullman) to look at my shower handle stem to give me an estimate -- and that is the cost before any repair is done. I have a little drip coming from the shower head after I turn the hot water handle off. Does anyone have any alternative recommendations? As you can see from the image, it's an older handle.
