Moving back to Cape Town in the coming months and faced with the reality that I can no longer afford to live in the city.

I came across this report that surprised me in many ways. Firstly, the value you can still find on the West Coast/ Blouberg + Northern suburbs regions of Cape Town, especially considering they're not that far out. Can anyone share their experience with living that side?

Also interesting is that the jump from a 2-bed to a 3-bed is only about R4,900/month on median. I always assumed 3-bedrooms were out of reach but that gap is actually pretty manageable if you're splitting with someone.
