Don't Look Back meaning

I finished the manga a few weeks ago assuming the Don't Look Back scene as truth, not as hallucinations. But after seeing some discussions on Reddit, I realised I was wrong. So what is the exact meaning? I did some searches but couldn't get a satisfying answer.

So, for my theory as NON- hallucinations-

'I thought Kiruma was telling Baku not to look back so he could win one last time and also because he doesn't want Baku to figure out his pathetic situation that is on the verge of losing. But he was crying, so I thought he wanted Baku to win secretly as he is already half-dead. That's why he reversed-psychology Baku by saying Don't look back to make Baku look back and accept his fate to lose.'

But since it's hallucinations, all of my theory collapses. People say it's to encourage Baku to move forward after he becomes the leader. But how can Hallucinations even give meaning to Baku?

Also, why did Ranko surprise after Kiruma survival that doesn't even exist?

Edit-Also what is 2sd?

What to do after Usogui

Finished reading a few hours ago. Don't know what to say other than that I was right to decide to read Usogui. The last two arcs are the definition of peak and the main reason I started the manga. Ngl,I thought Air Poker was better than STL until the leap second twist. I know that twist is coming before cuz of some spoilers, but i didn't expect it to be that good. The amount of foreshadowing is crazy. Air poker is the most intense but STL is pure appreciation of the writing. I had to drag for 2 years cuz of school and stuff and I'm kinda sad that I have finished it. I'm a bit attached to the characters. I'm planning to reread in the future especially that Bookstore arc. Now I just don't know what to do. Most people said it's gonna be empty after you have finished. And it's true . The worst part is it's my second manga to finish.
