The texts confirm - IMHO - that Tyler was involved, but didn’t commit the crime, he was the unwitting patsy. “Drop point” confirms it.
Reading those messages (assuming they’re even real), he never says anything re: committing the actual crime or he pulled a trigger. If I read it from the context of he was involved in planning and acted as a decoy or supplied the “instrument” these messages, make much more sense. Why else would the person who ditched the instrument say it was a drop point? The literal definition of a drop point means there is a courier and someone to pick it up.
