Next James Bond

I know the Bond franchise has gradually become more of a big action blockbuster, especially during the Daniel Craig era. Those movies were great, but I’d actually like to see the series go in the opposite direction.
-Instead of trying to top the last film with bigger explosions and higher stakes, I’d love a slower, more nuanced Bond. A movie that leans into the espionage side of the character—a methodical, intelligent spy who relies on patience, manipulation, and charm rather than nonstop action.
-The older Bond films portrayed him as a suave, sophisticated operator who just happened to be a British spy. That exact version probably wouldn’t work in 2026, but I think a modern reinterpretation of that idea could feel fresh again.
That’s why I think someone like Adrien Brody could be an interesting choice.
