Has anyone added an outdoor TV to their home and actually found it useful?
I’m thinking about adding a TV to our patio because we spend a lot of evenings outside, especially when the weather is nice. The idea sounds great, but I’m not sure if it’s one of those upgrades that seems useful at first and then barely gets used.
I ended up going with a ByteFree outdoor TV because it’s designed specifically for outdoor use rather than trying to make a regular indoor TV work on the patio. So far, I like having the option there without it feeling like the entire space was built around the TV.
My biggest questions are about the practical side of it. How well do outdoor TVs actually handle changing temperatures, humidity, dust, and sunlight? I’m also curious whether brightness and anti-glare really make a noticeable difference compared with using a regular TV outside.
I’d mainly use it for watching sports, movies, or having something on while eating outside. I don’t want the TV to dominate the patio, so placement and mounting would be important too.
For anyone who has added one, has it genuinely made you use your outdoor space more, and what would you do differently if you were setting it up again?
