I’m done

That’s it, I am done with this subreddit. I’ve been working hard to get to a software engineering career (which I am making software as a side duty at my current job and am working to build a startup) and still face so many doomers with attitudes that are downright insufferable and unhirable. Sure the job market is still not great right now, but it’s noticeably better than last summer. The worst part is how the doomers end up becoming world-class assholes the moment someone refuses to drag themselves down to their level. And some of them even have the audacity to specifically single out people with perseverance with the sole purpose of being cunts.

To all the doomers as I sign off of here: I don’t give any fucks whatsoever if the title clickbaited you into thinking I actually dragged myself down to your pathetic level. Keep it in your dense little minds too that some people may be struggling with depression, I hope you can sleep at night knowing that you’re a mental danger to some people and I hope you get charged with murder if you ever drive someone to suicide.

People here disgust me

I’m here trying to eventually build a career in software engineering, and it’s sickening just being surrounded by people in this sub telling others to give up. Especially as so many people here couldn’t be assed to give any fucks whatsoever about people seeking help and only about showing other people how right they think they are.

Do you even know how much of a fucking asshole you’re being by putting all your effort into dragging others down? Just imagine how far in your own career if you drop your blatantly unhirable attitude and put that energy into actually doing things that work. We don’t need to hear “it’s only getting worse” every fucking day when the worst of it is coming to an end and things in the world pass. Also consider that some people here are working through disabilities to build careers and don’t need you being ableist freaks.

Good luck sleeping at night knowing that you’re just here to drag people down. And I hope anyone who drives someone to suicide this way faces murder charges.

Breaking into software engineering with tool development and project experience

I(25M) am looking for a move into software engineering in the coming months. I’m building experience by delivering an internal tool for my company for AI-assisted data analytics and I’m building a cybersecurity platform project with some friends that we hope to make a full startup. I am looking to use this to get a full time job somehow, either by finding one around my city (Seattle) or growing the startup to the point it becomes one. Any advice on how I should handle this?

Please do not comment if all you’re going to do is tell me to give up on this path, I’ve worked very hard to build my momentum and I am not going to let that all go to waste.
