Course registration eligibility error

When playing my term 1 saved schedule, I am getting this alert for CHEM 211.

"During course registrations, you won't be able to register for this course section because you don't meet the eligibility requirements for the reserved seats and the unreserved seats are at full capacity. Replace the course section if you can't resolve this issue."

I am majoring in chemistry, and I satisfy the prerequsite for CHEM 211, but it says that I did not meet the eligibility for reserved seats.

Is that just an error?

AMNE 301 as upper level art credit

Currently majoring in chemistry, and I need 12 arts credits.
I'm going to take upper level art course to satisfy 48 upper level credits requirement.
Do you recommend AMNE 301 for upper level arts credits?

In addition, how about ASIA 326?

What is the Fall session?

According to the CHEM co-op schedule, I can see a Fall session which I have never heard before.
Does "Fall" mean winter session term 1?

YRH Waitlist literally stuck for a month (4 shared 32)

I’ve been obsessively checking my YRH waitlist numbers, and they haven't moved a single number for the entire month of June.

According to Gemini, June is usually a dead zone because summer students are already settled, and that the massive drop/turnover actually happens in late July to mid-August right before the Winter Session starts. Can anyone confirm if this is actually true?

With these numbers, am I basically guaranteed an offer before September? Or should I start aggressively looking for off-campus housing/sublets right now?

Workday course registration error help!

I have saved BIOL 200 to term 1 schedule, and going to save BIOL 201 to term 2, but it does not allow me to save this because I don't satisfy the prerequisite even though I have saved 200 in term 1.

Hi all,

I’m currently a 2nd level Chem student at UBC and I’m not sure about my academic plan and future after graduation.

Are there any specific electives or upper-year Chem courses you’d recommend that are actually useful for the employment, and industry?

Also, for those who graduated with a BSc in Chemistry from UBC, where are you now? Are most people heading into industry, or is it pretty much grad school/med school or bust?

In addition, if you’re working in Vancouver, how’s the pay and work-life balance for entry-level roles? I’m trying to decide if I should stick with it or pivot to something else before it’s too late.

Any insight would be super helpful!
