Found this whilst snorkelling close to shore. Put pack and a yellow and black antennae started coming out. Any ideas what it is?

Recently I’ve inherited some fly fishing gear and was wanting to head out to some high up reservoirs in the lake district looking for some brown trout. I spin fish a-lot but cannot get my head around fly fishing gear yet.
From what I understand my rod and reel must be compatible. I also need line, tipper and nippers. Any advice on what to get? I have attached a picture of my rod and reel below. Any advice is welcome!
