What is it with goosebumps streaming????

Man trying to watch this show is so difficult sometimes. Good thing someone on YouTube has a playlist with all the episodes for free.

But seriously, you go on Netflix and you can only get the special episodes with R.L Stine. They’re some of the best episodes of the show with the longer runtime and the most effort. But you don’t get any of the other episodes anymore.

Then on Paramount+ you get all the episodes EXCEPT the special ones????? Like what the hell do I pay you guys for????

Then Paramount+ has the first movie only and Netflix has the second movie only like what are we doing. I feel like the citizens of Carlsville with the lemonade stand, “She was squeezing us”. Because that’s what happens.

Anyways I just wanted to vent about this because it’s kinda annoying but again I’m glad I got the playlist on YouTube (ultra common YouTube W).

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid isn’t that bad as some say

Well the cover of this book is super cool…that’s about all the review I can say about it.

I’m just kidding I got a lot to say about this one. Of all the series 2000 books I hear the most negative reviews about this one honestly. And I can kinda see why.

The first half was GREAT honestly I was here for the entire thing but then it shifts and I’m like ok I can get behind this twist it was kinda dumb but it’s ok. And then they do it again and I’m like “come on”

And that’s about it. I think the magical elements of this book are really cool. I thought it was going to be a jumanji type thing which I kinda was but then they get sucked into the game which is fun. But then the twist kinda ruins it. But I don’t think it deserves the hate it gets.

Overall 6.5/10

Thought on Return to Ghost Camp

Hey future me, is he going to be the kidnapped kid this year and is he going to switch back with the actual kid so he won’t get taken?

So I was wrong I thought I was smarter than the Goosebumps formula but apparently I’m not. I don’t really know why this story is so dogged on. Of all the arguments people make about it, I have to agree that they shouldn’t have made it a Ghost Camp sequel because it really didn’t have much to do with the original book.

I think the story would be better received if it wasn’t stuck under that Ghost Camp title. But it was a really fun story. There are some stupid things that almost all Goosebumps stories have but it’s ok.

Then ending was pretty fun but the final scene was kinda lack luster so that brought down the review more. But I thought this was a really fun book.

Overall 8/10 story. I’m excited to get to the next one because I hear nothing but how bad it is

Thoughts on the Black Ring

Yea Anthony needs to DIE. But I want a teacher like Ms. Gold she seems so sweet.

Honestly I thought this book was going to be a standard goosebumps book but it kinda switched it up halfway through which was really fun. I’m glad we got to see the black ring do something. Normally we would have watched it ruin the main character’s life but we got to see it in action before hand. We also got to see how it works rather than not knowing. But man it was fun to see her get progressively more and more crazy with her actions.

It was pretty interesting to see how she outsmarted the ring. I do feel bad for the little bird but it helped save the day. And the ending was pretty fun because who knew there would be more than one ring.

Overall 7/10 not too bad

Thoughts on Werewolf in the Living Room

Um before I get into this one all I know is that someone gets kidnapped for being suspected of being a werewolf.

“My mom dies two years ago” oh damn I’m really sorry to hear that, I’m seeing a trend with these books ngl. Some of the “darker” elements is that the kids just have a dead parent here or there.

Ok well this was a fun book but man I feel bad for the father. He was consumed by his need to find the werewolf but he was a good guy. But if the kid was wanting to get home so badly I would have told him that I got bitten before anything else.

I think the concept of being a werewolf is interesting and it was done really well in this book. But man what an L of a son especially with that ending.

Overall 7.5/10 not too bad

The Mummy Walks, unexpectedly great

Gotta say, not where I thought this story was going to go but I’m here for it.

I have to say it is really funny how two of the three mummy stories so far have kidnapping in them. But this is such a fun story from start to finish. It just throws you into it and you’re just as confused as Michael.

“We should steal a CAT scan machine” “how are we going to power that in the desert?”

I know it’s not the message but being an adopted child the ending is EXACTLY what I’d expect my own parents to do. They raised him and love him like their own son and I know my parents would do the same thing for me.

The twist was kinda fun. Nothing too special but it was a really fun story.

Overall 9/10 I’m so ready to be back in with this series!

I owe Horrorland a big apology

Today is a day in history and I must admit that I was wrong. As a 2000’s kid, for most of my goosebumps life I have been very skeptical about moving on from the original series because that’s all I had growing up. My school library only had the original series and the give yourself goosebumps series.

Then in the mid 2000’s I saw the Horrorland books and was really confused by them all. I thought the series was dead and wasn’t coming back. Then I saw the original series books with the new artwork and was immediately put off from them all.

Then a few years ago I saw a “history of goosebumps” video on YouTube and it was so peak. I saw that there was a sequel series, series 2000 and loved the darker covers and wanted to read them all.

Now I have finished them all and I was heartbroken, so I started to get into the Horrorland series and I was wrong about them. The interconnected stories at the end of each book is one of the best additions they’ve done in a while. The stories got creepier with some of the best characters that came back from the original series.

I have finished the panic park storyline and now I’m on the haunted gifts storyline which isn’t as fun as the original but still a pretty good event. It feels like the series is falling back into the old ways but I’m glad there’s more to the series.

I still have my skepticism to the later series like Hall of Horrors, Most Wanted and ESPECIALLY slappys world and whatever one is out now but maybe I’m wrong about them too.

Thought about Scream School

This books features one of the ugliest covers and that’s not a good thing in this instance. But I wasn’t expecting this to be a movie based book, it’s kinda like the episode Cry of the Cat.

Man the scenes in the movie sets are so cool. I love how he’s really bringing you into the situation.

And the one thing about the series 2000 books is that they really can use the darker tone. When the “ghost” show themselves, it’s perfect.

But in the same sense, I’m kinda tired of this trope of the monsters aren’t real. I thought it was fun the first couple time but I really wanted it to be real.

This book was pretty fun and had a lot of potential to be one of the greats.

Overall 7/10, I had fun. What did you think?

Thoughts on Jekyll and Heidi?

I’d like to note I wrote this while active listening to the audiobook. And SPOILERS ahead

“My parents died in a car crash”…oh my god, fr? That’s the backstory? That’s really bad I’m sorry:(

Hey future me, is the cousin the monster?

PUT SOME RESPECT ON MY NAME!!!!! I was right and she threw a person into a fire.

Ok review time, this was a really fun book honestly. It was a little slow at the start but man once it picked up, it really kept going. It’s funny this cover made me think it was really going to go a different direction.

I thought it would have nothing to do with the actual Jekyll and Hyde story but it kinda did. Their name has been dragged through the mud and I think that’s really interesting. But the actual monster is a monster unlike Hyde but that’s up for interpretation.

And the end is really great with the father truly doing his best to cure his daughter. And I do wish we got some more from this book because that ending was done perfectly.

Overall an 8/10. What do you think?

Horrorland audiobooks?

Does anyone know where to get some of the audiobooks? I listened to all original 62 and all 25 Series 2000 books on audio for free I was wondering where I could find the Horrorland series? Like YouTube, internet archives, anything?

Side note is this series good, the covers just haven’t felt like the goosebumps I had as a kid (even tho I’m a 2000’s kid I still only had the original series I never knew anything existed after and I was so confused when I found horrorland in middle school)

Return to Horrorland is a good sequel

Yo no way Evan was in this book. LORE!!!!!!!!!! It is really nice to see some interconnectivity between books even if it was Monster Blood.

I feel like I do know the twist based on the cover but I will have to see as I continued the book.
I also don’t get why Luke is so excited to go back considering what happened last time. I will always give these books credit for the atmosphere, they really know how to make this place seem cool as hell. The rides are always interesting to see because you never know what’s going to happen.

Page 58: “I’m a painless dentist” “huh, painless?” “Yes, this won’t hurt ME one bit” absolute cinema. And they have an Amazo reference??? EVEN MORE LORE!!!!!!

Luke is still annoying but the first twist was very predictable and the final one was also predictable but it was a pretty unique story and a good follow up.

Overall a solid 7.5/10. What do you think?

Brain Juice is pretty good, it’s pretty good

So spoilers for the entire book ahead. But wow normally they do the alien thing at the end of the books but not this one.

Honestly this is a pretty good story, the concept wasn’t very scary but it was crazy that they actually got taken by the aliens.

They were likable characters which was nice. Recently in the 2000’s series the main protagonists can be really cool or really bad, thankfully this was for former. They outsmarted everyone with the same method as How I Learned to Fly so it wasn’t THAT groundbreaking of an ending but it made sense for the story.

Overall 6/10, what do yall think?

My ranking of every original goosebumps books

I know that no one will but before anyone asks:

No this isn’t ragebate

No these aren’t in any order (except for how I put the monster blood series because I don’t really like any of them).

Yea I have listened/read all of these books.

And yes I was judging these based on how well they capture the “goosebumps feel” in my personal opinion.

Let me know how right I am or how wrong I am and please follow up on WHY I’m wrong because I love talking about these books and no one I know does.

I did not care for Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls

Does this mean he killed his cat:((

Ummmm this is kinda like a Barking Ghost part 2 and take that as you will. I wasn’t a fan of that book and I’m not the biggest fan of this book either.

This isn’t a great book by any means and I kinda just wanted this one to be over. Looking back on it, I don’t really remember any of the characters names and I remember some of the main plot points that happen. And they defeated them…by dancing.

And the twist wasn’t even that great this just an ok book it’s not one I’d ever really want to read again.

Overall 4.5/10. What did you think of the story?

What’s the opinion on Headless Halloween?

Boy this kid sucks.

Like I do and don’t get scaring your siblings (my sister trued to scare me as a kid so I get it) but he’s an asshole. It’s like Lucy from The Girl Who Cried Monster just 10 times worse. Actually make that 20 times worse.

It kinda has a similar middle twist as Ghost Next Door. But Brandon was really redeeming himself in the second half of the book. I do think that’s why he was so unlikeable at the start so you feel better when he’s helping others.

Side note: I get that he was a little kid but damn it Vinnie move your feet and DO something don’t just sit there. But I think that’s ending was interesting, not great but interesting.

Overall, 6/10 and that’s kinda being generous. What do you think of this story?

Why is “Are You Terrified Yet?” so goated

(I’d like to note this was written a year ago but I forgot about it and got banned on my old account)

Yeaaaaaaa get there Craig!!! Man I’m so proud of him.

That’s all I really got to say about the book. This was a better version of You Can’t Scare Me. Honestly I saw a few people didn’t like this book and I can see why because Amy is kinda annoying by getting Craig in all this stuff but it’s still pretty brave that he ACTUALLY did it all.

For the twist I thought it was going to be that he actually got hit by that car or that he was unconscious for all of it. But it was a lot more cleaver than that, kinda the How I Learned to Fly vibes.

But the best part happened on page 95 “Are you terrified yet” HE SAID THE THING!!!!!!!!

That was fucking amazing tho, I loved that book from start to finish honestly. It was a vibe for most of that book and idk if it’s a hot take for my score but it was a lot of fun.

Overall 10/10 for now I need to think about it but damn that was fun. What did you guys think of this book

Why didn’t the Incredible Hulk go to plan???

It honestly surprises me still that the Hulk isn’t more of a predominant figure in the MCU. Sure he was foundational to phase one but after he just got left to the side and I often wonder why that is.

(Skip to Part B, this is next part are just my thoughts)

They really set him up to be a villain to fight. Iron Man mentions they’re putting a team together (which thinking about it now makes no sense, Tony wasn’t on the list for the team but 🤷). He makes it sound like they’re setting up a team to take down the Hulk, which they do but it’s for a small amount of time, kinda like in the Ultimates, except for the fact he wasn’t a crazy monster who ate people.

And then Hulk was just kinda there in Iron Man 3, but it made sense to have him back for Age of Ultron and Ragnarock, but after Infinity War, it was all downhill. He got beat which I think was an interesting decision to prove how strong Thanos was, and then he refused to fight again. And Professor Hulk was interesting but what do you do after that? It feels like they got backed into a corner and they keep switching between Banner and Professor Hulk.

She Hulk came around and we got introduced to Skarr with his weird ahh haircut. We also see that the Abomination is turning his life around (which good for him).

Then shortly after, they give TWO, count em TWO, hulk villains to Captain America!!!!! And Hulk isn’t even in the movie so why? The Leader is now captured along with Red Hulk on the Raft. And the before mentioned Abomination, so the most well known villains for any Hulk series are now out the window.

And with Spider-Man Brand New Day coming out and already being spoiled that Banner and Hulk are becoming separate entities again, it makes you wonder what are they doing with this character???

(Part B)
I understand that Universal has the rights to the character and there was a lot of behind the scenes drama but the movie in my opinion isn’t THAT bad, especially comparing to some of the project we’re getting now.

So why didn’t they try to continue with a hulk trilogy. The first movie wasn’t considered good but The Dark World was bad and they continued with the Thor trilogy.

What are your thoughts, why did the Hulk series fail?

How to use music safely in a video

Hi all,

I’m new to making content on YouTube, I’ve made videos on TikTok which as you know, you can use whatever song you want for whatever reason. But I know there is a lot more restrictions on YouTube so I was wondering how do I use it safely to not get a video taken down?

Any other advice for a beginner would also be greatly appreciated.

Why do people think midnights death was pointless?

I have my opinions on this death and I think it has a meaningful impact on the story and characters but I’m working on a YouTube video about it and I wanted to get others opinions
