First warehouse job, lack of safety? Am I overreacting?

Got this job at a warehouse. We're keeping 200lb (minimum) bins high up as a few feet from the ceiling. Coworkers say I'll be expected to go up there to retrieve stuff and do inventory so I asked what sort of safety procedures there are... They say none really and that I'll have to do it alone as well. Climb up by myself with a 20 foot rolling step ladder and then CLIMB OVER the edge of the top racks (basically hoist myself up and roundhouse my leg over) and walk around up there on top of the wire decks without any ppe or support

I've received zero safety training on anything. Is this normal? Am I overreacting? Most of everything until that point with the high stuff and zero safety precautions felt fine but now I'm kinda concerned. Im young and this is my first time in this environment. Its a small company too

D Line Train Said 'Call Police', Driver Making Strange announcements

Hey all.. I'm a Boston native and I use the green line every day. Today I got on at newton highlands between 5:30-5:40 and the conductor was making extremely strange comments

It was hard to understand him over the garbled speaker, and he had a heavy accent. But his comments were super unprofessional and creepy. Something about the train not stopping, having 'one more stop', something about 'saving your life.'

Never heard anything like that so I got creeped out and I got off at newton center as did another passenger. We had a short discussion and she mentioned noticing that the train said 'call police' where it normally says the line and destination which I know is a covert alarm for the drivers.

I told her that's probably bad and she called transit police. We got on the next train and everything seems to be fine with normal service, but I am genuinely a little perturbed and confused. What the hell just happened?
