I’m starting Christmas shopping for my kids, and both would be interested in receiving items related to camping/scouting.
We have a good handle on general camping equipment, but is there anything that you or your kids really love that would enhance the camping/scouring experience? We have a 6 year old Tiger Scout and an 11 year old in Scouting America.

I have a new scout (joined in June), who is enthusiastically working on her various requirements and merit badges. One comment I’ve seen on here and in other groups is that some merit badges are better to hold off on and earn when the scout is older.
Which ones do you recommend waiting on, and is there any additional context that would be helpful (physical demands, maturity, wtc).

my daughter joined scouts recently, and I immediately registered so that I can attend events and help out in some capacity in the future. I’m intrigued by the idea of being a merit badge counselor, but want to do it justice.
