I have two gerbils in a 40 gallon tank and want to upgrade them to a 75 gallon tank. Would this be a good idea? Could it stress them out ? Would it be too big. For context I’ve had them for a year in the 40 gallon tank

Hi, I’ve had my gerbils for 11 months now. I tried picking one of them up today and he gave me a quick finger bite. Some blood got drawn. I washed my hands thoroughly and put on a bandage.
This is the first time I’ve been bit by a gerbil. Should I be concerned?
I’ve always wondered what it’s like owning less common species of gerbils like the shaw’s jird and fat tailed gerbil. Are the care requirements similar to Mongolian gerbils? Tank space? Diet? Personalities?
I’ve had my gerbils for 10 months now and realized they are damn near the most perfect pet for me. Always wanted to get more exotic rodents similar to them. Anyone that has information on different species of gerbils in the pet trade, I would love to know more.
