I honestly don’t really know what to do. 350 words seems way too short to meaningfully reflect about multiple majors/experiences. I’ve already cut it down to just talking about two clubs that I’m in, but it still seems like I’m having to cram stuff in just to talk about more than my first choice major. I wish they would consider your resume when reviewing your app since I have so much more I wish I could say. Any tips? I’m honestly just hoping my GPA can carry me here and am getting annoyed at having to pretend I want multiple majors when I only really want one (ece).

Since the ENGRUD app just opened and it’s time for me to rank my major preferences, I’m looking closer at ECE. One thing I’ve noticed however is that most of the courses/program resources are focused on embedded systems, computer architecture, VLSI, etc. It seems there is less focus on power, RF, DSP, photonics, or other EE fields. I realize that some of this is due to the fact that that these other paths are maybe more grad school level topics, but can any current/former ECE students weigh in on this? Do you feel like pathways that are not necessarily embedded/more computer engineering focused are supported? Or are they more “niche”/ not given as much attention and support?

It seems like there’s been a big shift in the CS community, and now Falcons is pretty widely supported. I know they have teams in other esports, but since I only follow CS idk how those other communities view falcons. Is it just CS where they are supported by the community? Or has it happened in other esports as well?
