Clayface is an Absolute UNIT! (Scale photo with Batman)

I knew from the box dimensions that this Clayface figure was going to be big, but actually getting it in hand is a totally different story. This thing is ridiculously massive!

He definitely trades hyper-articulation for stability, but what he lacks in articulation and ab-crunches, he more than makes up for in sheer shelf presence. Standing around 8 inches tall with that massive mallet arm and huge claw hand, he towers over Batman and looks awesome on display. Plus, Batman's projectile launcher firing mechanism works flawlessly, hitting me with a huge blast of '90s play gimmick nostalgia.

What's your take on big villain figures like this—do you prioritize heavy articulation and posing options, or are you happy trading pose potential for pure size and shelf presence?

Surprisingly great articulation on this Batman vs. Bane pack—had to recreate the classic pose!

Picked up this set recently and honestly was really impressed with how well these pose out.

The range of motion on both Bane and Batman is solid enough to pulls off the classic Knightfall back-breaker move cleanly without needing extra stands or tipping over. Usually with budget-friendly or multi-pack lines, joint range can be hit or miss, but these hold a pose surprisingly well.

Also, a cool little bonus I didn't expect to care about: don't toss the box! The inner cardboard background works surprisingly well as a mini Gotham backdrop for shelf displays if you're like me and love posing figures right out of the box.

Anyone else pick this up? How are you guys displaying yours?

Superman joined the collection! (Follow-up to my Mr. Freeze 3-Pack post)

After setting up the Mr. Freeze 3-pack, I finally picked up Wave 2 Superman to expand the display!

Tried out a few different poses with him—including a flight pose off the shelf edge using a magnet trick, plus some showdowns with Freeze and tactical Batman. The soft goods cape and head sculpt look awesome in hand.

A few questions for everyone picking up Wave 2:

  • What's your hot take on this figure? Are you digging the head sculpt and soft cape, or is there something you'd tweak?
  • Who are you hoping Mattel announces next for the core line?

Finding the perfect TARDIS for your display? Look no further than this "Coin Bank" (Review + Specs)

Let’s be real: if you are looking at this specific item online, you are trying to find the best alternative to add a TARDIS to your toy collection, not use it as an actual coin bank. You want something with strong screen likeness that looks incredible as a display item.

If that is you, then you found it. This is it.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017JL4ZZI?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

The Scale & Build

The TARDIS is incredibly sturdy. I took a tape measure to it, and it comes out to exactly 7 inches tall and just under 4 inches wide.

In terms of likeness and scale, it is absolutely perfect. It goes really well with 5-inch figures and sits beautifully alongside other varied collectibles on a shelf.

The Sound Effects

It features built-in electronic sounds and phrases from Peter Capaldi (the Twelfth Doctor). They are fine, but to me, they are just an added bonus.

What I really like is that every time you close the front doors, you get the iconic TARDIS "vworp" dematerialization sound. The audio has a surprisingly pleasant quality to it, and the volume level is just right—not overly loud or obnoxious.

The Verdict

The way I see it, the company pretty much didn't have the license to produce a standard TARDIS collectible toy at the time, so they just cleverly disguised it as a coin bank to get it on shelves.

If you want a fantastic center piece for your Doctor Who display, don't hesitate to pick one up!

My Mattel DC Core Wave 1 + Mr. Freeze 3-Pack Setup!

Wanted to share my current setup of the new Mattel DC Core figures!

Managed to get my hands on the Mr. Freeze vs. Batman & Hal Jordan 3-pack along with the individual Robin, Joker, Batman, and Flash figures.

They look incredible grouped up together like this! Since these core line figures are practically a kid's toy and beginner's basic collector line, I think they are a massive step up from previous basic retail figures.

Let me know what you think so far. Are you getting this line along with the upcoming collector line, or skipping both?
