Dust off for the 101st Airborne, Circa 1970, camp eagle.

A few photos found in my grandfathers stack of Vietnam war leftovers, he didn't speak much about the war except a few stories that painted a very stacked and busy deployment.

1st photo.

My grandfather (Far left.) Standing next to a LRRP Ranger assigned with the 101st, My grandfather often flew dustoff for them and was good friends with a few Rangers, I was told of stories by him of parties with them and a few dinners with SOG, although he rarely spoke of SOG and avoided all questions about them.

Last two are him inspecting a round through the plexiglass window and a photo of his helicopter.

The final picture is his "Party Jacket." With the in country made patch sewn onto their breastpocket.

My discontinued Corral boots that I scored for free!

Hello, I know this isn't considered super "Western wear." By some of the more western wear obsessed individuals but these are definitely the most unique (And my only lace ups, as all I really collect and wear are cowboy boots) Cowboyish pair I've got! From what I was told this was a limited run style, and probably my favorite pair for when I need to dress a bit more urban, and these rock really well with a pearl snap.

Hunting for original pacific war items specificly looking for USMC things or certified bring backs.

Starting a WW2 Pacific war collection as I am moving away from the European theatre and im likely to list said items here soon.

Looking for well priced WW2 Pacific war items to start the collection off with, send me a DM or post your items below that'd you'd be willing to offer.

Probably gonna stay below 150-200 so I don't break bank.

In the Texas area!

Things specificly pertaining to the 1st Marine division are welcome and encouraged, still haven't found a good shoulder patch so im hunting for one of those for a Veterans shadow box.

photos are very much welcome too but I am only willing to pay around 15-20 bucks depending on the photo and its significance.

Some medals and ribbons listed

OVERSEAS RIBBON SERVICE RIBBON Usmc Occupation ribbon
AMBottom row NAVY AND MARINE CORPS ribbon

Victory medal
American campaign medal
USMC occupation medal

And of course. What has me curious is a Combat Action ribbon, definitely will dig for more but consider this solved. I'll update if I can find which islands he was on, Thanks reddit, and of course Ryan, who did all the work.

Background for context!

Acquired from a fellow history buff who was sold this for 20 bucks by distant relatives, plans on restoration and to get that 1st Marine patch swapped for an original are in the works, Also figuring out what exact islands he was on is in the works

(No, I am not looking to send this back to the family, as I was made aware he does not have any close relatives, and with how it ended up in my collection I don't trust it not to be sold off.)

if any gain additional info let me know in the comments! anything helps :)

Came acrossed this post selling this really nice vintage 1984 Bergamot Brass Works Western buckle with a unique color in what looks like resin, the belt itself was not included as I managed to get them down in price and seperate the buckle from the belt (Didn't like the belt.)

It comes in hopefully next friday, but what do you guys think? I love vintage buckles and haven't been able to find one in this good of condition.

(will definitely update with some photos paired with the ferrell pearl snap I just picked up but for now we must wait..)
