Armour in ukraine. MTAC and STRELOK

Hey everyone, I’m a British Army veteran preparing for Ukraine, and given the sheer volume of artillery and FPV drone shrapnel on this battlefield, I’m looking for maximum full-body protection. I’m physically fit enough to run a heavy modular suite (shoulders, groin, thighs, shins, forearms etc), but I’m caught between options: I’ve been looking at the Ukrainian M-Tac collection (used by the Third Assault Brigade and other assault units), but design wise, I much prefer the integrated Russian KBS Strelok system used by Spetsnaz and assault units. For those with experience on the ground, how essential has full body extremity armor become in this environment, how does MTac stack up against the Strelok in terms of mobility, and is there any realistic way to securely source a Strelok 2.0 system right now, or should I just stick with M-Tac?

Which unit is right for me? ex BA veteran.

I am a fit 22 year old. Dual British/Ukrainian citizen (I am fluent, but a bit rusty). I served in The Rifles in the british military. I am here to serve my homeland.

I've been looking at numerous units and I'm thinking to go with brigades sub units. I've been looking at Snows unit in 1st Rifles battalion but I heard that's a no go zone. I saw images on Instagram and the equipment looks very sub par (Somali ak and pixel camo), will this improve? I like the intensity of Third Assault Brigade. Also been thinking about azov international. I want to be an assaulter.
