Hello all.

First of all, I'm a Redmi Note user since the Pro 3, so I've experienced some issues with notifications, but not this big.

I was configuring my S.O.'s new smartphone, and some of the notifications get through no problem (WhatsApp), other I can't get for the life of me (GMail).

Device: Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, bought on the official Xiaomi store for my region (Italy).

OS: updated to HyperOS latest available (3.0.4.0.WOPEUXM) as soon as bought, then factory reset. Android 16 BPA2A.250605.031.A3

GMail latest (2026.05.04.911572269.Release)

• Can't find GMail among the apps in the Autostart list (on by default?)
• All notifications allowed
• App is running and padlocked (won't be closed when closing all apps with the "X" button)
• Energy management (or whatever it's called in English) set to "No restrictions"
• Background data usage allowed
• All auto-sync settings checked
• When I try to send a mail from another account, if I'm in the Google Auto-sync page, I can see that it syncs correctly ("last synchronization: hh:mm"), so it's not a sync issue, but no notification gets through
• Tried clearing cache & data in the GMail app, tried restarting, no dice.

I probably forgot more things that I did / checked, but that's the gist of it.
