Short Episode Review.

This is my review of the Sunday Episode.

Today is Bharti's birthday (HBD!) and the LC cast had a lot to say about her lol. They welcomed her while clanging plates and pans and using her signature 'Bharti hain no.1, 2, 3' saying against her. They also gave her some hilarious gifts.

We had lots of Ankita moments and the guests for the first half were Vicky's mother and sister. Krushna played around with Ankita by saying that her SIL is his new Bhauji. We got lots of funny moments in that sequence and a lot of bickering too. Vicky's mother giving Bharti coal in a jewelery box was the highlight though!

Then there was Elvish-Jannat banter, a somewhat funny joke about Nia's hairstyle, and some other gags.

Fast forward to the second half, we get Rakesh Bedi!!

He spoke about theatre and how to keep one's voice level, and gave some really thoughtful insights on life and theatre. He even recited some of his poems and they are really commendable!

We then saw a lot of things happen with Elvish, Ankita and Teja with the addition of Rakesh Bedi. There was not much to note in this segment except some one liners, improv comedy and casual talks. The dish looked interesting though, I'd like to try something like that one day, and it reminded me of a dish previously done on the show.

It was good, honestly. Took the tension off my shoulders after a stressful week. At this point, I will consume anything LC hurls at me, and most of the time I end up liking it because the show really is a stressbuster.

Can anyone suggest me some Luke-centric plays?

Hi guys! I've just started watching Sfth LF videos from the past 2 months and have introduced my friend to them too.

She really likes Luke's characterization and how he manages to capture the small quirks of the characters and wants to see more of it. She asked me for recommendations but I haven't watched that many LFs so I don't know what to suggest her.

What I have watched (and suggested) are 'Never Give Annabelle A Gun', 'The Last Lullaby' and 'The Unrelenting Aubergine'. As you can see, all of them are Luke-centric lol!

Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

Episode Review.

This is my review of the Sunday Episode.

We start the intro in a laughter chefs fashion, with them dancing to an old song. Just after that we see Bharti march inside in Harpal Ji's getup, which is followed by Harpal Ji's himself giving a byte to the contestants, in which he says that he is in Japan and is handing over the 'power of attorney' of dish tasting to Bharti.

After which Bharti jokes a bit with Elvish about how he doesn't have his phone and never posts about LC, in which a very hilarious moment of Elvish saying 'Mera Calculator dedo' ensues after he cannot get his phone.

The twist then reveals itself through Elvish and Bharti—They have to make nuni ghee. But the bigger twist is that Bharti will not declare the best dish, but would rather declare the worst one.

After that, we see the contestants struggle with the workings of the lachcha paratha and nuni ghee, in which Aly calls Elvish Haryana ke Lukhkhe.

There is a moment in which Aly says to Nia : 'Ham note waley hain aur tu sikke wali hain.' Again with Aly, he even called Bharti 'Nuni didi'.

At some point, Sudesh Ji acquired Abhishek’s father for swirling his ghee and during some convo Kash said that 'Ye to bhagwan se bhi umar mein bade hain' and the reactions afterwards were very hilarious.

A handful of kids had prepared cards, photos and some artworks for the LC cast and the writings on those were pretty wholesome!

Aly then again called Bharti 'Harpal Ji ki chamchi' and Bharti charged towards Aly, during which she had a quarell with Krushna. Why does she think that tugging at a male actors shirt is funny in any way? 😭 It is lowkey harassment with what she does to a select contestants. If we are calling out the misogynistic jokes, then we should also call out these creepy sequences.

Anyways, Bharti then confronted Aly and made him dance in the Khatra Khatra song and the whole montage was genuinely so fun because of Aly's energy and expressions!

Then we had the tastings and a lot of other stuff which was menial in it's nature. Bharti gave stars to Karan Elvish and Anku Manku and also declared that Abhishek and Samarth made the worst dish.

The Khatra of this week materialized in all it's glory in this segment—The Demon Of Demolition.

Samarth and Abhishek’s counter was demolished by sledgehammers and mechanical axes. Even more shockingly, Aly and Jannat's counter was also broken because their dish was the second worst. What followed was a very theatrical montage of a dramatic breaking down of wooden cabinets, with people shocked, some mourning and some enjoying.

Just after that, Bharti announced that they would be making the dishes on the floor and a very entertaining news montage followed in which reporter Krushna and Bharti gave us quite a few good jokes.

Abhisam and the Bittu duo was presented with a moving platform on which they had to sit and do all tasks. Immediately, Samarth and Aly began travelling around with the help of the platforms.

They even had to bring the ingredients sitting down and it was quite a sight because both Samarth and Aly were hilariously helpless. It was a very amusing segment.

After that, the contestants came round by round and some taunted (cough Krushna cough) the four while some helped them. One thing I found very funny was how Samarth asked 'patte hain?' while sitting down.

In one segment, Elvish gave Bharti some water and she complained about it being too cold and hurting her teeth. She asked about how Elvish can drink such cold water, to which he replied 'Daant asli bhi toh hone chahiye' which was honestly so funny!

After that, Elvish bickered with Jannat and made fun of her with Krushna, which created a very friendly banter there. Aly was such a mood during that time.

At times Abhisam's helplessness was almost laughable because of how people were treating them like beggars, but they received quite a lot humiliation in their part. It is nice to see how sporting they are in regards of such jokes, considering Abhishek’s parents were also there.

After that, there very funny scenes with Ankita and Krushna, with Bharti doing the heavy lifting today. She, although not having the brightest jokes, made the contestants interact quite a bit amongst each other.

Some more menial and good segments followed before the tasting and Aly-Jannat, Krushna-Kashmera and Karan Elvish won stars.

At some times it felt stretched, and at some—It felt straight up disrespectful but the show had a slow but steady pace. Aly was today's star with almost all major moments happening around him. The jokes were nothing special but some of them indeed were funny.

There was no clothing jokes or 'bada ghar' gags, but there sure was a teeny bit of bodyshaming towards Bharti, which she does not oppose but rather support; so we can really not give it much thought.

Yeah it's definitely not a laughter fest but it also was not boring at all.

It's Fine, It's Good, 7.4/10. Missing You Harpal Ji!

Sad Predicament Of My Life And Super Short Review.

Hi guys my 2500 word review vanished into thin air due to a network problem and I'm not okay with that so short review.

7.4/10, Interesting because of it's psychological aspects and unbelievable tricks. Not much physical comedy and interactions but very gripping nonetheless.....

Short Review [Opinion]

This is my short review of the Saturday episode.

After the disastrous disappointment called Teja Birthday Celebration, LC really redeemed itself with this episode.

Loved all the different and varied interactions, the new Colors actors really bought in the freshness and lighthearted spice we all needed.

Especially liked today's theme and the jokes 'Non Co-operative Society' 'Coberoi Tower' & 'Chee View Society'—These were really funny titles and I wish some more counters got their own titles too.

Shakti Anand, Deepika Singh, Sai and Vijendra really amped up today's episode! They settled in among the cast so quickly and were so casual throughout the episode. All of them bought their own distinctive humour, and Eisha too, was funny in her dumb helplessness.

And then there was Parth.

I honestly haven't watched any of his interviews or bts videos so I don't know if he is chatty or just closed off like Vivian so I cannot comment on what he could've added to the show. This is partly because not all people love socialising and it's okay, atleast he did help Arjun and Aly. Parth reminded me of Vivian, to be honest and when Abhishek said 'Vivian bhai ko competition milgaya' I found myself agreeing.

His and Nia's dance was actually really good! Man knows how to dance, but whenever I see him I'm reminded of Anurag Basu!! 😭

Deepika Singh was very humorous and Sai & Vijendra were really involved in cooking. Sometimes Nia, Teja and Jannat's screaming felt over the top but Ankita-Krushna duo neutralised it well. I liked the interactions between Abhishek, Jannat, Samarth and Elvish, which was like school friends bickering.

There were good jokes in the episode but the interactions, physical comedy, situational humour and the many mishaps amongst the cast stood out the most.

Very Fun, 8.7/10, Would Recommend Because It's Fresh And Non-Offensive.

Episode Review.

This is my review of the Sunday Episode.

We start Teja's Birthday Special with the promised elimination talks, and a series of lame jokes.

The funny part about the intro was the kid raising his hand when Bharti asked who wanted Jannat out. The 'reject' remark Krushna made about the kid and Nia was just bad taste, you can make such a joke and expect nothing from two consenting adults but making such a joke with a kid is just not it.

Cue to Teja getting out of the set a sequence of Teja bashing, then cue to Teja coming back, Sargun arriving and more Teja bashing. Though I liked the way Sargun said 'Mujhe channel kharidna hain, paise kharch hogaye hain' and the way Abhishek got all defensive over his position.

Then I liked the way Abhishek said 'Chole Puri' and Bharti replied with 'Shut up.' They have a fun vibe.

ANKITA ❤️ She always supports Teja and matches her vibe completely while giving her love!!♡♡♡♡ Love the way she spinned it and said 'Teja hain no.6 show mein ho gayi hain fix'.

And the way Aly and Krushna dragged Ankita out in that dramatic montage of angry chair bashing coupled with the horrible acting of Teja 😃🥲.....

Nia absolutely was killing Rahul with her constant grumbling and screaming, but she does have a heavy metal type of voice as proposed by Rahul.

Samarth 😭 Son, why are you stuck in Samvish? Bruh the way I hollered when he blurted Samvish instead of Samnat was like a trainwreck to my neighbours' ears. I really really appreciate how Aly tries to [Italics cuz I don't know how to do that] teach* his fellow peers how to do things instead of just telling them.

Bruv, they really had to show that Teja-Ankita clip to Ankita huh? but whatever, the outcome of it was very funny though!

Karan randomly coming up, saying 'sexy naagin' and randomly pecking Teja and the face Bharti made was 😭.....

Vicky 'ohoing' with oho ho ho playing in the background gave me flashbacks to the howling wolf avatar of him and I loved it.

I also liked how Krushna didn't make fun of Abhishek’s work and rather focused on other aspects.

Cut to two Punjabis coming to the show and thinking Teja was a guy 😭 and her joining Arjun.

The sleepy Elvish form S2 is back guysss! loved the way bro just sleeps in his place of work and the typical Indian mom sleeping lullaby Bharti sang to him.

The highlight of that montage was Jannat, Abhishek and the Actor. I just got to know that Jannat worked in a film! Her Punjabi is soooo sweet! I like how vocal she is about her likes and dislikes and even clarifies that she isn't provoked by what people say to her.

Laughed at the 'Gaadi ka bonnet lag raha hain' while Nia and Rahul's dish was being tasted.

The second half of the episode starts with Krushna playing SP Chaudhary Aslam in that scarily accurate voice of his, and the whole sequence would have been genuinely funny IF THAT BANDRA HOUSE JOKE WASN'T INCLUDED! You go the extra mile, being a fake gun with sparks, stage a dummy dead body and conceptualise a great act only to ruin it with a misogynistic and unfunny joke. Why LC team, why?

Anyways, the cast was complaining about the Baba thing but ironically and hilariously, they all started screaming Baba together when Krushna brandished his spark gun.

Bro I literally hollered with the Elvish part.

And the jokes on Jannat and Samarth were also funny to an extent.

Though I must admit that the constant innuendos to daru and the subsequent replacements for it was funny.

HUGGING NIA IS NOT FUNNY. PLEASE STOP IT.

Literally shocked at Kashmera's one liner. Mic drop, killed it.

Cue to Elvish dozing off again and bruh wdym 'Main UK ke timing ke hisaab se sota hun?' 😭😂 zyada nahi ho gaya Elvish bhai?

'Chamgadar ki dress' broo why was that accurate??

Then, 4 actors come from the Tadka shows and with them bring the absolutely cringe titles of their shows. What in the world even is 'My Billionare Mechanic Boyfriend'???

And here we go again with the same Nia rejected joke.....smh!

I really wish that they brought Teja an actual cake off screen because that cake cutting was pathetic and disrespectful.

Then nothing notable happens.

Disappointed in LC.....It was less like a bday celebration and more like a targeted shitshow. Feeling bad for Teja, ngl. Sad state of world we live in where bf laughing at his gf being humiliated is lighthearted and cool...😮‍💨😔

Kyun ye show itna misogynistic hain? Kya problem hain non-offending jokes mein? Aaj ke episode mein kuch khaas nahi hain. Khud dekh ke decide karo yaar!

Atleast Teja Won Both Rounds, 4.8/10, Watch Only If You Wish To.

[UNRELATED OPINION]

Aly was looking so damn hot in the second half of the episode in that suit outfit with his hair tousled...uhm wow 😳🙁I should sleep..... The peach shirt Abhishek wore also suits his complexion, same with Ankita.

Episode Review.

This is my review of the Sunday Episode.

The intro was so, so heartfelt! Everybody's moments with Krushna really brought out the sweet and caring side of him. I also liked how he appreciated Teja today.

Elvish-Samarth rap song was so out of tune that it was nice 😭 I especially liked the subtle 'tharki' and 'noise pollution' remarks made by Elvish.

Also, Teja's song and dance was so awkward, lmao 😭 and she was dragged along in almost every shayari or joke made by the Aly-Bharti-Karan team or the rest of the Jannat bachcha party.

And how Sudesh Ji said 'Bollywood films mein busy', that cracked me up so hard! It is easy to see why Sudesh Ji is the inspiration of Krushna. Ankita and his act was brilliant in their chaotic energy.

This episode's tasting is different from the others too.

And bruh the aam chaos 😭!! Abhishek was really pestering me but Arjun's 'Dua lagegi' lol, what a fun man. And Bharti was balancing precariously on the threshold of entertaining me and pissing me off.

And Ankita's 'Kanjuso Ke Devta' 😂 and the whole Ankita and Teja montage was so entertaining.

Arjun was probably irked off but I loved the continuous spills and the subsequent stains on his clothes. Vicky was in his element and Ankita was matching his energy, or should I say vice versa.

THE CHILD!!!!! Omg he's so cute and how nicely he wished Krushna. The whole sequence was so adorable coupled with the very nice mimicry of a dino(?) Krushna did. Dad energy lol.

[I Lost Track Of The Rest]

Cut chase to editors making an appearance in Krushna's bday and revealing a whole lot of things 💀 Vicky's parties, Sam's plans, and Abhishek’s vacations (Do ya'll know who he referenced?). What stood out to me was that the editor said that 'Everybody sees his[Krushna's] body of work, we see his soul' Such a heartfelt statement! And Elvish saying hamari soul dikhane ke layak nahi hain! 😂

I enjoyed the Ankita and editor singing so muchhh, this woman has such good physical humour!

Editoro Ka Samarth 😭 Bro looks like a 9th grader can snap him like a twig!

The edited cake lmao!!! I wholeheartedly agree with Vicky that LC deserves such an editing team.

And the 16 Characters of Krushna sequence was so cool!! My personal favourites of him are the Jeetendra from S1, Kancha Cheena from S2, Govinda from S2, his patented Jaggu Dada and the Victoria (It's a Secret) from S3.

I laughed so much when Kash asked Krushna that if he can do it or not and Krushna responded by saying tum bana logi 😭.

When Sam said he has ears and heard Aly and Krushna conspiring, the latter was flabbergasted lol. And the fact that all of them started asking for ginger is proof of the herd mentality. Do not do things just because somebody else is doing it, people! LC sometimes teaches us life lessons.

Kash's roast for Samarth was lit and her falling off everytime she skips or runs is so me, not having steady footing is a curse in the open T-T.

Sudesh Ji 🤣😭 My god!! 'Mere 36 footpath hai!'

I'm such a big fan of Randeep Hooda! His acting is beyond underrated even for a side role.

His gift to Krushna belongs on KKK, but frankly speaking if the nails are equally proportioned and blunt it should not hurt much. His humour is up a notch too!

The speech by Kash was so heartfelt, and I relate so much to the idea of seeing a person as a friend and a performer before a romantic partner because once you strip away the rose tinted glasses off a person and he still is amazing and compassionate—You've won in life!

I weirdly enjoyed Nia and Krushna dance but it'd have been so much more meaningful to see a Kash n Krushna dance afterwards. The way Krushna groped Nia was kind of awkward and icky, and Kash should've taken Nia's permission before issuing such a gift. Still, I'll overlook it because it was played off, not because it was alright. Nia should start talking for herself.

Sudesh Ji had such a good banter with Shaleen but does Shaleen really not have an article of clothing which didn't display his chest? Well, I'm not judging because we don't character assassinate.

Vicky howling during the ice cream tasting was so unnecessarily funny and all of them howling afterwards with that gas lighter action had me cackling 😂!

Arjun's chicken lollipop remark was hilarious and Sam's meri taraf se aapko parcel was also lit!

Sudesh Ji treating Aly as his disciple was amusing as well!

Kash running off to hug Harpal Ji was peak moment for me 😂😂😂

This was such a fun episode.

So Good! 9.5/10. Excited For Next Week!

So weird that it's nice.....

So, I know Indian audience in general love 90s films and the song-and-dance musicals of that era, but frankly I never really liked watching those mass churned films which seemed like they were all cousins of each other. Apart from a few select films which gave me a nostalgia trip (Agneepath, Taal, Yess Boss, MKTA) I never picked up my phone and decided to put on a 90s film.

BUT—It was 12PM and my family was dying to watch something so we turned on the TV and stumbled across this film called Hero Hindustani on Zee Anmol, and the first impression I had of this movie after hearing its name was much like the toxic fiasco Raja Hindustani.

But I relented and started watching this film and MY GOD! Why is it actually hilarious? This is not some Hera Pheri level comedy or anything close to that but the rare moments where the situation was right, the actors delivered! Even the main lead, a frisky tour guide, is written organically and not hailed as the pinnacle of manliness or portrayed as a desperate, will-do-anything-to-get-female-attention creepy man. The dynamics between the male and female leads are not that of love bombing (Hmm bollywood love hmm) or any coercion with the same old love song—it is refreshing to see a bickering and not always romantic couple in a 90s movie.

The plot is hefty weird and works in favour of the film.

There's a scene when the male lead slaps the female lead but the slap does not come from a place of possessiveness or jealousy, but is rather executed after the female lead literally gets the hero beaten by goons. There is a distinct acquaintances to lovers theme in this film and it works.

Namrata Shirodkar is beautiful and pairs well with an equally good looking Warsi (I didn’t realise bro was this pretty) and they share great banter.

The themes of 'culture' and 'morality' may seem too much sometimes but the hero has a principle of consent.

Idk man maybe my mind is just hash from handling too many things but this film was actually entertaining enough for me to not pick up my phone during the duration. Yeah it drags a bit but it's nice.

Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Idk! •_•

Episode Review.

This is my review of the Sunday Episode.

Hmm hmm I'm back!

Starting off the intro with pehelwans 💀 The pehelwans carried Teja and Nia into the set because they were late, and the casual jab at Abhishek didn't have to be so funny man 😭!

Poor Samarth got manhandled, and the way they threw him on the floor was hilarious.

We are meeting bodybuilders and pehelwans, and the women are in their 50s and 60s! can anybody believe that! And the wide variety of hobbies they have, phenomenal!

Our motivation of they day is : 'Yahan mat haaro, counter pe haaro'.

Bruh Samarth really doesn't have a filter with Ankita, bro literally gets into physical fights with Ankita on television and I feel Ankita's frustration is from a sibling point of view and Nia's is from a competition point of view.

Bro their diet!!! 100-200 almonds and 200ml of ghee is no joke, I wonder if they get the products at a discount since it would obviously be a huge investment.

'Ma'am yahi hain aapka target' 😭 The Guide music was well done.

Arjun and Pehelwans face off reminded me of the Arjun and Abhishek competition and frankly Arjun's lanky build helps him to be faster and agile but we know the overall power of the Pehelwan is greater.

Nia doing cartwheels is iconic now!

Sumo pehelwan Bharti Singh 😭 Bruh Elvish couldn’t have done worse acting on this one.

Also Samarth’s mixed pushups! That too with consistent form! I really lost it when Bharti said 'Muhje toh tuh lulli lagta tha'.

'Aesa lagta hain jhaag chor raha hain zeher kha liya' 😂 Elvish yaar!

Gotta love the creativeness in the advertisements (Samarth’s wink 🤭).

And Amaal's working was literally shit but gotta love the Kamakhya temple bit. I've never had the chance to visit even when I've visited Assam so many times!

Also, Bharti and Jannat were twinning with their outfits, noticed when they were running around together. I wonder how the different flavoured butters would taste, as butter is widely used as one of the most simple yet complex ingredients across so many dishes.

'Khaake dekhiye khud bataiye' when Harpal Ji asked Krushna about the flavours was hilarious.

Nia hair bit was good.

Pehelwani doesn't really have the charm without the red soil of the country, does it? And the girls were dead set on fighting to their core. And Samarth Elvish fight got serious real fast 💀.

Krushna's 'Subject nahi bachna chahiye' was 😭

I'd like to point out that the trick Nia did with Krushna is the fastest way to throw somebody off balance, and is a very useful self defence trick.

Aly and Amaal's fight looked more like kabaddi than kushti.

Karan and Teja fight was genuinely so cute and hilarious! Vicky and Ankita fight was cute too, and the Aly part was amusing.

Nia, Aly, Ankita and Teja were on their martial talent showoff and I loved it.

Did Amaal really lose it somewhere? 💀

And Jannat, it looked like the splatter really hurt. Ouch!

Lord Vicky graced everybody with his peak skills again /s

Amaal has a problem with low pitch I think, and the Sonu Nigam mimicry was really not it, even as a cover. There is a certain lack of tonality (is that what it's called) and control in his voice, but I don't really sing that much so I can't judge.

'Ham sir flip nahi karte life mein' Krushna bro!!

At the end the deserving ones won and I'm really satisfied with the results!

I also want to appreciate Arjun and Samarth’s designer because their outfits were soooo good this week.

Did I mention equal screen time and consistent comedy without misogyny or misandry? Well now I did! Creative concept too.

+Something Else : Just because a person is good at one thing doesn’t warrant that he'd be good at everything. I felt like Amaal was trying to go with the comedy format and doubled a little into the slapstick comedy but hey, it's not his fault if he doesn’t know how to cook. Atleast Nia got somebody to interact with!

Consistent, Good! 9.3/10. Just Watch It Man!

Episode Review.

This is my review of the Sunday Episode.

Karan-Teja's Kuch Kuch is being celebrated. And the intro starts off with a cute flashback, but it soon spirals into bad tasting divorce jokes and a mockery of Ankita Vicky's marriage and Tejran's relationship dynamic. The Sangeet scene was okay if we don't nitpick it. I especially liked Karan's Yam Dyut joke on Shaleen, but the rest of the jokes in the intro of Karan were just not it.

Samarth saying that he'll perform for free and Elvish's reaction on the wedding was so hilarious 😂.

Now, I don’t know who Shaleen is, but his statement on expenses and marriages were horrible.

Arjun was surprisingly positive and supportive and I loved his and Jannat's statements!

Arjun asking Teja about her honeymoon was peak Arjun-Teja moment, and Krushna montage with Ankita was only saved by Ankita and her boldness. 'I don't need validation, I don’t seek validation' clock it womannnnn! 🔥

Samarth telling Abhishek that he'll cut his hand while cutting onions and Abhishek doing exactly that is the reason why he's insufferable without company lol.

Nia-Abhisam stealing was off today and it was not funny.

The Audience montage was nicely executed and Khajur joke was used for second time, I think. Also, when the girl said Ankita and Kash were her favourites lol.

Can we talk about the dance between Krushna and the girl? 💀 Girl's really a fan. But the dance off with Aly and Sam was the highlight of this scene! And Kash took it sportingly, like she always does.

Nia's fondness towards Sudesh Ji really showed through today, but he lost to Shesh's looks lol.

And regarding the Vicky slap scene, if Ankita didn't mind, then is probably was a joke.

Arjun really said Teja is the cooking star!

And Shaleen doesn't really carry his brain right? 😭 (Kawwa chale dekho hans ki chaal really reminded me of JollyLLB so imma watch it tonight after Kabul Express).

'Abe rishta ho ya ring ho tumhara toh tut hi jaata hain' Krushna istg!

Teja and Elvish scene were filled with banter!!

'Aly se upar uthke baat kijiye na kabhi' mazaak mazaak mein sach keh diya Krushna yaar!

Aly saying Khala to Ankita was funny, imo.

Teja Karan ring ceremony and the girls being absolute supporters is so lovely!! But the ring ceremony was the highlight of it. And I love that the makers decided to do it with everybody (But Abhishek and Samarth?? And why's Abhishek the bhabi 😭😭🙏).

Ankita's humour is top notch peak brainrot lol.

Bharti and Abhishek humour is lit af 😭

For the first time I liked the Nivea ad cuz of Sam and Ankita humour.

The dance scene with Aly using a makeshift pagdi and Elvish annoying Samarth was good too.

And then after that it was an amalgamation of misplaced humour, physical comedy and lots of interactions (OP ka Ghee khatam 🥀).

Yeah, it was good.

Not The Best, but Definitely Great In A Good Sense! 7.9/10.

Can't wait for partner swap!!!!!

Episode Review.

My review for the Sunday episode!

Starting off STRONG with the intro. Good comedy with nice jokes for once.

Istg I laughed so much when Sam said 'Kahi se toh gira hoga'.

Abhishek and Nia have such a good natural dynamic.

Abhishek complaining to Samarth about the party and Aly joking was humorous. That kid was so cute with his 'Jannu'! Aww, their convo was so adorable. I have a hunch that the Nia-Abhishek-Samarth saga is going to continue with a new mutual chori angle. Aly and Jannat's interactions amongst themselves are so pure. The whole audience section was flirty without being awkward and the dance teacher's garba was really good.

I know some people find Nia screaming annoying but her frustration when Bharti said 10-9... was genuinely very funny.

'Humne gas ki bachat kari' was also goofy.

Teja and Arjun deserved the win! Very nicely done. 'Tere sheher mein hain laddu tute Rao saab ka' was 😂.

The haar exchange, Aly's kanyadaan and vidaai, and the whole bachelor party sequence was hilarious.

Rakul and Sara entry was okay.

Elvish flashback to S2 was amusing. And the SMZS song in Abhishek and Samarth sequence was hilarious. Krushna's Jackyy Bhagna-nahi joke was so funny 😂. Sara tried to be humorous but it felt completely awkward. Krushna's Producer ki wife ka toh haq hai joke was very smart. Ankita and Teja make a hilarious pair and Vicky singing was also funny.

Neha entry was so hilarious and Arjun’s love for Neha mirrors in his eyes.

I never thought I'd see Harpal Ji bragging but here we are 💀

Elvish interaction with audience and Teja interaction with Neha was also good. The comedy was hit and miss but good overall.

7.4/10, Not The Best but Better Than Some.

Happy 50 episodes LC3!

Appreciation post for Krushna-Sudesh Jodi from a neutral perspective.

Krushna Sharma — He is both the face and heart of LC. He is the magnet that holds all the contestants together while weaving humour in between the complex emotions of the contestants.

Most people say that his jokes are overused, on which I'd agree, if I'd not known the limits this man can go to for making a lighthearted positive space.

Everytime Ankita and Vicky fight, he goes there to cheer them up and tease Ankita, making both of them momentarily forget their heated exchanges and de-escalate the situation.

He also teases Teja and jokes with her like she has always been there since season 1. He tries to integrate every new person with the other contestants even if it is at the expense of his own time.

Krushna is a perfect performer, he can take any situation and improvise an act or a punchline from it. He is the person who roasts the contestants, the hosts and even himself. He is the humour of this show–and, mind my impudence–is the reason Bharti is able to offer any substantial value in the show because Krushna creates the base of the inoffensive jokes Bharti has to offer.

He does have his bad sides, like constantly joking about Ankita's children, bringing up Elvish's case, demeaning Abhishek and irking off Teja and Jannat (Albeit, all of this has lessened by a huge margin).

Krushna's offending jokes have decreased a lot compared to the starting of the season, and he has started to lean more towards improvisation like Sudesh Ji.

The star factor about him though, is is absolutely fantastic ability to pull of acts.

One recent example would be the Bhool Bhulaiyya scene recreation with Rajpal Yadav Ji. He has insane voice control and modulation, which gets highlighted whenever he plays Sanju Baba. We have seen every contestant dress up and behave like certain characters or actors, but in all honesty, Krushna is the only person who gives it his all.

Krushna treats comedy as his passion and not some scripted eye-catching bit, and that is what sets him apart from the new age comedians. Most comedians, excluding a select few, use excessive expletives in their jokes. Quoting Javed Akhtar, I'd like to say 'Expletives is the chili in a bland joke', I admire his ability to improvise expletive-free appropriate comedy for all age groups.

Sudesh Lehri — He is a diamond amidst a heap of coal. I personally think that the Nia-Sudesh angle has been milked to it's last drop, but Nia and Sudesh Ji as partners without the romantic angle would work wonders because of their mismatch personalities.

Sudesh Ji shines most in conversational comedy. That is, he can have interesting banters with anyone on the show. His banter with Ankita, Jannat, Nia, Elvish and Abhishek have allowed us a glance into natural moments and conversations between the actors.

Like Krushna, he is also a fabulous performer. Whether it be Mika Singh, RJ Jayant or Udit Narayan, his experience and comic excellence always shine in acts. He also works best when paired with Krushna as both of them do not get offended and continue the flow of a mostly improvised banter with several punchlines. I find him and Krushna more entertaining than Krushna-Bharti.

Sudesh Ji also has wonderful sportsmanship to be able to take so many gareebi and umar jokes on himself. He is also the flag-bearer for the most self depreciating artist ever. I do get irked off when he doesn’t claim Mani or his daughter as his children for the sake of an act, but he is still respectful to his wife amidst all the chaos.

He never once denies his humble beginnings like Krushna, rather, he tries to make his journey from struggled to star the main aspect of his comedy. I feel that this shows that however poor or unfortunate you are, you can always find success if you try hard enough.

Although he doesn't get much screen time, he has the most potential out of any of the contestants to deliver a strong, successful act or monologue.

Both of them have their own flaws and brilliance, but if it were not for Krushna-Sudesh—LC wouldn't be what it is.

Wishing them both a happy life and 100s of shows together!

Hey guys, since everybody was posting positive and appreciative posts, I also decided to jump on the bandwagon and post something out of goodwill.

I will create a separate appreciation post for everyone on the show and will highlight their good, bad and ugly side.

The first one, however is for our dearest LC show.

Growing up, all my cousins, siblings and me would gather round to watch Masterchef with a steaming cup of chocolate Horlicks in our hands.

To our ignorant childishness, the show was always about challenges, mishaps, winners and losers. Our understanding of the human emotions were likely limited to Winner=Happy and Loser=Sad.

With time, even the thrill of watching top chefs squander about with dishes and judges passing accusatory glances towards contestants faded eventually.

Then we started watching Kapil Sharma—Good Lord, they way we giggled throughout the episodes left our stomach aching and eyes teary!

There, I met Krushna and Sudesh Ji; the Star Pair of Comedy.

I would memorise some of the punchlines and parrot everything to my friends at school, talking about how exciting and special the show was.

Still, with time the format began to seem repetitive and my humour evolved to consider the once funny jokes now lame and tacky.

What else was there to watch? Same age old Saas-Bahu.

I left watching TV entirely. For years.

I remember evasdropping on a video my mother was watching, my the tone of it I could understand that It was probably comedy. I left it at that, thinking that it was Kapil Sharma. But to my utter surprise, my mother started watching bits and pieces of this new show almost everyday, completely engrossed and immersed in the format. I'd laugh too—When some of the unresistable jokes made their way towards my ears.

My mother watched the entirety of the first season, and the only way I knew this show was through audio—No faces, no starcast. And I had an innate wish to someday watch this on my television.

The day LC season 1 was about to end, my mother insisted that I turn on the television and dial to the long forgotten channel Colors. The pixel screen blinked open and I was met with a plethora of colours and a tapestry of new faces.

'This is a cooking show?' I thought, the stray thoughts about Masterchef making their place in my head. 'But I figured It'd be comedy!' Well, it certainly was. Much better than the memories I had of Kapil Sharma. The childish joy of watching Masterchef and the youthful mischief of watching Kapil Sharma had become one, and it bought immense joy with it.

Even the very last–arguably my first–episode made me chuckle wholeheartedly throughout. What a joy this show was.

Since then I decided, that I'd binge every episode of LC that were to come.

Soon, Season 2 arrived. I know that the people of reddit don't like season 2 that much, but the fascination I felt when the same faces from LC S1 and new faces from LC S2 interacted, was beyond bounds of entertainment. Rahul, with his absolutely adorable friendly personality, Rubina with her witty remarks, Aly with his chef abilities, Reem with her glamorous slacking, Mannara with her odd-one-out demeanor, Elvish with his oneliners, Karan with his friendliness, Abhishek with his cringe flirting, Samarth with his absurd comic timing, Ankita and Vicky with their dynamic relationships, Kash with her independent attitude, and Krushna-Sudesh with their nostalgic charm—They all made a special place in my heart.

I was never bored in any weekend when the show was running, it made my heart and mind detoxify.

And then season 3 came with new faces and old faces but still had the same love and same camaraderie.

Till this day, this show has only given happiness to me. It ripped me out from the shackles of depression and gave my weekends a new purpose. This show made me realise that contestants are not bound by titles of winners and losers, rather, they are bound by the love, support and dynamics they have amongst themselves.

This post is a love letter to my favourite reality show, the one that brings smiles on the faces of thousands of Indians everyday.

Wishing LC has 100s of seasons to come!

My review for the Sunday episode.

Sorry for the late review because I missed 50% of the telecast and don't have Hotstar to watch it. I'll try to write whatever I remember.

Let's start from the intro—which I totally missed, so if you guys saw it do let me know how it was.

Now, the scene I started watching the episode from had Krushna gifting Abhishek the title of 'Lord' whilst giving him a 'guard' costume (a play on words). Krushna's jokes during that segment, even if not exceptional, were really good and sly.

Abhishek’s English is what I'd call accidental comedy—The one that's the most natural aside from improv. In my opinion, the only comedy angle Abhishek suits is the broken English, albeit he overexaggerates sometimes, but it's not like the same overused line.

Harpal Ji's shuddh (Well, not really) hindi as compared to Abhishek’s meaningless English rambling was a nice parallel.

The dish was definitely on the easier side with how simple the whole thing is exuding the Canapé.

I feel for Jannat when she called Aly out on him putting the blame of everything wrong on Jannat, but I also feel very guilty for laughing out loud on Harpal's Ji reaction to Aly's words.

Elvish's one liners in this episode was so so good, if there is something Elvish can do it's oneliners. I also really liked Ankita's interaction with Krushna and Samarth. I think Samarth automatically activates tease mode when Ankita is near, and vice versa is also true. Bharti definitely was less problematic and more appropriate towards Nia today, I don't know if calling one's clothes hot is sexualising or not, but Nia didn't seem disheartened for once. Actually, everyone were less problematic today (Keeping aside the mockery of the Queen), especially Ankita and Vicky, they didn't even fight once, ONCE! Krushna also didn't humiliate anyone if we exclude the part with Abhishek as an act. I loved how Bharti and Krushna appreciated Abhishek alongside roasting him.

Can we talk about the audience, guys? Such interactive audiences with an intact, intuitive humour! Loved the jokes in that sequence. The Improv song which Krushna did as a part of the Victoria Chakraborty act was brilliant.

I loved how different states (Um, only 3) were given a limelight in the later half.

They say that you learn something new everyday and this show has always embodied that saying—I appreciate showmakers for highlighting the linguistic history of the names of states.

Sudesh Ji, Bharti and Karan taking Abhishek through his own state was very immersive for a Bengali very far away from Punjab, though I did relate with the Patriotism aspect as both states embody the struggle for Freedom. Bharti there was excellent.

Elvish touring Abhishek through Haryana was fun imo. And the Luni Ghee 😭 It wasn’t even that inappropriate until Bharti said that. Ankita, Kash, and Teja really tried to land jokes, but the delivery was awfully awkward and that made the comedy have a different direction as it focused more on how absolutely terrible narrators the Maharashtrian women are. I really love and appreciate the Lavni they did, as I saw first-hand how difficult the dance form is to learn.

The second dish was really simple too. Elvish once again shone with his jokes and oneliners. Arjun and Teja were in a nok-jhok mood with Karan, and I'll leave it to you guys whether the statements (teasing? jokes?) made by Arjun were offensive or not. She should get more appreciation as she is a hardworking person with several achievements (if they are awards, yes, if they are houses, then also yes) of her own. She is capable and does not need any favours from anybody, but if LC team supports her that'd be very considerate of them.

Leaving that aside, I can't even comprehend how somebody can mess up Paneer tikka masala but they did anyway lol. I'd like to shoutout to the sound engineers as they did a good job with the background songs especially 'Mere do anmol ratan' in the Ankita scene. This falls under one of the most enjoyable and entertaining LC episode in this season, the jokes, improv, situational comedy and natural interactions were on point and the comedy was very consistent throughout the whole episode. I didn’t feel bored at all and this episode went by like a breeze. Through and Through positive episode if you leave your prejudice and biasness aside.

I'm so sorry for the short and incomplete review 💔

Happy Birthday Chintu!! 8.7/10.
