My cat wont stop laying in her litter box
So a little backstory, I just got this kitten about a week ago and everything has been okay except for the fact that shes laying in her litter box. I’ve been trying to include wet food in her diet so she won’t get a UTI, a can of wet food in the morning and hard food with water for the rest of the day as well as churu for a treat. I also have plenty of spaces for her to hide and climb and even a cat tree as I’ve tried to give her plenty of options. She doesn’t strain when she’s laying in the litter box or seem like she’s in pain, she actually purrs so I don’t think it’s a medical issue (I will still be taking her in for a visit) but my question is: Is this just a quirk that cats have? Should I be worried and trying to stop it? I’m a first time cat mom and I wanna do everything right!
