My boyfriend wants to move to America
Hey everyone!! I know I can do so much research (and have) but I figured it’s a bit easier for me to ask people with personal experience. My boyfriend (25) lives in east Germany. We’ve been together for almost two years and originally the plan was for me to move in with him in Germany. After recent discussions, he is really afraid I’ll lose my spark here and I won’t be happy. And he loved his year abroad in America and wants to move there instead. He’s a teacher, however right now he’s doing electrical work. I know work visas are $100,000 right now and I don’t know where to search for teacher related jobs that sponsor visas. He could do the college route but no one including me has enough money for the financial support part. We would live in Northeast Ohio, I have my own place and a steady job. A lot of the nearby colleges don’t have scholarships or any support financial wise for him. I’m not sure what to do, as I’d be fine with moving to him but I know he doesn’t want to stay in Germany.
