Ikon Base or Winter Park Season Pass?
Hello! I just recently moved to Colorado in February and want to give skiing a go this upcoming season. I’ve seen tons of conversation online surrounding which passes to buy, and I’ve narrowed it down to two: the Ikon Base pass, or the Winter Park Season pass.
Items contributing to my decision:
- It is my first season. I don’t expect to be going to a different resort every weekend. I would like to get familiar with the process and such before I venture to a bunch of different resorts.
- Traffic. I have heard that resorts before i70 are easier to access as traffic can back up pretty bad as you head further along i70. I live around downtown Denver so I would prefer to have easier access to resorts.
- Frequency. I intend to be going every weekend (or at least every other weekend) once the season starts. I will only have availability to go on the weekends, so I am not sure if that plays into which pass I should get.
I’m leaning towards the Winter Park Season Pass, as it seems to be easier to access and might be better for beginners from what I’ve read. I am worried though that I’ll get tired of one resort and regret not buying a pass with access to others. Any insight or advice would be helpful!
