Is 6 “Dragon Thrashed” Chanters actually the strongest possible party?
I keep coming back to this and it honestly feels absurd every time I think about it.
6 Chanters all running The Dragon Thrashed, The Dragon Wailed seems like the ultimate action economy cheat code.
- Passive AoE damage stacks
- Damage keeps ticking while moving / summoning / casting
- Heavy armor barely matters but maximizing defense actually increases effectiveness
- Infinite summon wall later on
- Basically impossible to shut down because nobody is carrying the whole build
It feels like the party just turns into a moving death aura and walks through encounters while the game plays itself.
The main knock against it is that it takes time to come online, but honestly you can just respec into it once Dragon Thrashed unlocks and skip the early game entirely downtime. After that the party basically becomes a moving environmental hazard
Are there actually stronger theoretical parties?
Some alternatives I could see:
6 Wizards = absolute nuclear option, encounter deletion via CC + spell spam
4 Chanters + 2 Priests = dragon aura + giga buffs
3 Chanters + 3 Wizards = passive damage + crowd control + nukes
6 Ciphers = focus snowball insanity
6 Paladins = aura stack meme party

Has anyone actually run PotD / Trial of Iron with 6 Dragon Thrashed Chanters? I’m curious whether it stays broken into late game or if enemy burn DR eventually pushes it back toward “good” instead of “absurd.”
