My wife and I are off to Alaska on the Star Princess on April 30, 2027. We am hoping we have a great cruise. We've only been on a few cruises (0ne Regent cruise of The Med, and one AMA cruise of Vietnam/Cambodia) so we are probably not as discerning as many repeat cruisers.

I am alarmed at how often I hear criticism of other cruisers for being inconsiderate, pushy, refusing to wait their turn, and for hogging seating. Also, cruisers who don't cover their coughs.

Is this now routine or the exception? Is Princess guilty of not encouraging or enforcing civility?

I'm told it's because it is too early in the season and there is maybe too much ice. If Princess decides to offer it at a later date, or at the last minute, I don't want to miss out, as I'm sure it will book up. There seems to be no way to communicate to Princess that I want to book this excursion, if it's offered.

We are heading to Alaska on Star Princess on April 30, 2027. We've only been on 2 other cruises; both on way way smaller ships. Did we make a huge mistake in booking on a ship with 4300 pasengers? I welcome any comments!

I know it's a long way off, but I'm trying to put the finishing touches on our Alaska cruise for next May. Day 7 is a stop at the Dawes Glacier. But the Princess website shows no excursion offered on that day. How do I stay on top of this so that when a 3 hour excursion by small boat (that pulls alonside the Star Princess) becomes available - - it hasn't already sold out. When I asked the Princess rep about this, he was very vague. Has anyone taken this excursion? I'm not feelin the love enough to want to check the website constantly for an update
