Preparing for the SQE?

I’m currently studying seriously for SQE1 and working through the syllabus step by step, including revision, flashcards, practice questions, and legal concepts.

If anyone else is preparing for the SQE and needs help understanding a topic, planning study, or just wants to discuss preparation strategies, feel free to ask.

Happy to share what I’m learning along the way.

Hi everyone, I’m an international law graduate planning to come to the UK for an LLM that includes preparation for both SQE1 and SQE2.

At the moment, my main choices are:

  • University of Law (ULaw)
  • BPP University

My main priority is strong SQE preparation, not simply getting the LLM. I want a course with good teaching, structured study, useful practice questions/mocks, and proper support for passing the SQE.

For anyone who has studied at ULaw or BPP:

  • How good was the SQE1 and SQE2 preparation?
  • How demanding was the workload?
  • Were the teaching materials and mock exams useful?
  • How supportive were the tutors?
  • Which one would you choose if passing the SQE was your main goal?
  • Did the university help at all with getting paralegal/legal work?

I’d also appreciate suggestions for a third university/provider worth considering for an LLM + SQE route.

I’m preparing for SQE1 seriously before arriving in the UK, so I’m looking for a university that can build on that preparation rather than starting completely from scratch.

Thanks!

**ULaw LLM Legal Practice – Internal Exams & Part-Time Work** Hi everyone, I’m considering studying the **LLM Legal Practice (SQE1 & SQE2) full-time at the University of Law, Manchester**. I’d really appreciate feedback from current or recent ULaw students, particularly those on the SQE course.
