Solution to Ai displacement of jobs

Don't fall into the trap, bosses want you to train the Ai agents so that eventually your entire job scope gets replaced by Ai and that's when you get retrenched like the ones at Meta and the banks. It's the same with your low cost foreigner colleagues, if you're naive enough to teach them then obviously you'll be replaced as you're the more expensive hire.

The more you use Ai, the more likely you'll get displaced by Ai, so don't be gullible thinking that Ai is good for you. But if you really need to use Ai, do it quietly, there's no need to show off to your bosses and colleagues. So next time when your bosses ask you to use Ai, smoke them by saying Ai sure cannot do it, no point in using Ai, don't waste time and money. I avoided Ai for the past year and that's why I still have a 6 figures job.

Am I tripping or are some HDB dwellers rich?

Recently visited a MD who lives in a 5 room HDB at central, he drives a BMW i8, but what's astounding is that he said his neighbours own way nicer cars, so we took a walk at his HDB carpark and true enough there's a Bentley and Ferrari with sequential carplate numbers parked beside each other at HDB season parking lots.

Compared to my relative who lives in an OCR condo, their carpark is mostly filled with 10+ years old cars, only a few conti cars, but no sportscars. So it got me wondering, are those prime HDB (Dawson, Tiong Bahru, Duxton, etc) people mostly richer than those living in EC/OCR condo?

Which is why I don't think the govt can ever remove the 15 months ban although MND said it's only a temporarily measure till latest end of 2027.

MCST force sell foreigners' condo due to unpaid maintenance fees

"After racking up thousands of dollars in unpaid maintenance and sinking fund contributions, two foreigners who jointly owned a four-bedroom unit at Parkshore in Tanjong Rhu lost their property through a forced sale."

"To recover these funds, the condominium’s management corporation strata title (MCST) sold the unit in September 2025."

"A notice of intended sale, published in The Straits Times on Dec 23, 2024, stated that the owners owed about $61,000 to the MCST."

"Another notice dated March 24, 2026, stated that a unit owner at Melville Park owed the MCST about $9,708."

Buyers of $1900 psf EC regretting their purchase

When developers' land cost drops significantly, it translates to lower sale price. So when future 10 years MOP EC are launched at $1500 psf, it means the current $1900 psf buyers paid a $400 psf premium just for 5 years shorter MOP and availability of DPS. Worth it?

Strongest cooling measure ever dropped on EC

It's about time as new EC were selling at close to $2K PSF, buyers didn't care about prices due to FOMO and Deferred Payment Scheme. Now that new EC requires 10 years MOP and 15 years before it can be sold to foreigners, it prevents buyer from flipping EC for a quick profit.

I say it's the EIP, a truly unique policy which prevents the formation of enclaves commonly seen globally, thereby further enhancing public safety.

A close second would be the COE, another policy unique to SG, which essentially solved the traffic congestion issue.

What could be the reasons? West sun facing units, thinner walls, smaller sizes lacked ventilation? Yet DPM says use only fans.

"SMRT said at around 8.15am that there were no train services on the entire TEL - between Woodlands North and Bayshore stations - in both directions."

Ask yourself is leasehold Orchard Road condo the same as leasehold Yishun condo? If you say different level lah, then why compare Prime HDB to Standard HDB?

Even Bedok 4 room HDB sold for $1.17M, so why are people still surprised that 5 room Prime HDB with more than 90 years remaining lease gets sold for over $1.7M?

Public housing doesn't mean it must be cheap for everyone, there's also different levels. Budget constrained buyers can still buy those BTO at very faraway locations for $400K+, while those on higher income who wants to stay at convenient central locations can go ahead to buy Prime BTO, if exceed income ceiling then go buy EC, completely fair.
