Difficulty finding an suitable Henle 7 piece
In preparation for a competition at my school, I want to pick up a new piece. Currently, I am playing Les Cyclopes by Rameau, Six Dances in Bulgarian Rhythm No. 6 from Mikrokosmos by Bartók, and Mazurka in A minor by Chopin as my three focus pieces, and I’m dabbling in Waltz in E Minor and Polonaise in E-flat Minor by Chopin, and the Crush Collision March (idk the composer) as side pieces to improve technique and to make sure I don’t get bored (I have been playing the first three for quite a while, but I want to get them as refined as possible).
At my school, not many people are really musically educated, so anything that sounds impressive or is well-known is a good piece for me.
Even if it is not either, any piece with valuable technique learning opportunity is also welcome.
My favourite composers is Chopin, if that helps to choose :)
