Noticed recently that it takes a long time for the external temperature display to get close to the actual outside temperature. This seems to effect cooling when in auto mode.

Example, leave unfinished garage and the display shows 75 degrees which is close to actual. On a 95 degree day I drive 30 minutes and the display in the car still shows about 84 degrees.

Took car in for 20k service and mentioned this and service advisor tells me this is normal and that Toyota says it could take the display up to one hour to match outside temperature. This was not the case on the first two years of ownership until recently. Anyone else notice something similar?
