I know it’s a hot topic here. I recently passed 1000 hours and it’s a little discouraging that there’s no more milestones to look forward to. Even something like 15% for 1000, 12% for 2000. Tenured tutors have worked hard to reach these points and brought long-term value to the platform. We should get rewarded adequately.
I was talking to my longtime student today and mentioned to them that I’ve had a trend of accounts booking a trial and cancelling shortly after. Some of them even subscribe and cancel before taking the trial. And they never respond to my messages. I’ve noticed on here that it happens to many other tutors too.
Anyways my student said Preply is running a promotion to receive $50 for every referral. So I’m thinking people are gaming the system by making alt accounts. I could be off base, but it could explain why it’s happening.
