Tabaru bolts upwards, sitting up in the infirmary bed

"Huh?? Where am I?"

She looks around, surveying her situation as her eyes adapt to the darkness. Several ice packs are on her body, and an IV is hung over her bed.

"Am- Am I in the infirmary? What happened?"

She looks at her arm, trying to remember what happened

Flashback, A Day prior, 09:55

Tabaru is training with her teammates on the beach

Pulling Giant tires, and running laps around the seaside

Hard at work, Tabaru remembers her trainer's words and takes them to heart, that yesterday was relaxation and today is hard work in training

While the rest of Tabaru's team rests for lunch, she continues working on her pacing and stamina, under the watchful eye of her trainer

The sun's fully out, and the heat is really starting to hit.

Then all of a sudden, Tabaru starts feeling really weak, her legs threatening to give out, and her arms feel like they're on fire.

She slows down, turning back and slowly walking back towards her trainer who was sitting at a table with her other team members.

Then her vision gets blurry. She starts feeling extremely dizzy, and she stumbles slightly while walking. Her mind goes blank from the heat.

Then her vision fades. The last thing she sees before collapsing onto the sand is her trainer getting out of his seat and swiftly coming her way.

Present Day

Tabaru ironically looks to her left and sees a poster promoting hydration

Then a nurse comes through the curtains to check up on Tabaru, light seeping into her enclosed space, and partially blinding her.

Nurse: "Oh! You're awake! Good!"

Tabaru: "Ughh I feel really terrible right now... How long have I been here?"

The nurse looks at the clock

Nurse: "You've been here for over a day."

Tabaru: "I-I have?"

Nurse: "Yes. You suffered a Heat Stroke. You're very lucky your trainer was nearby. He rushed you immediately into here"

Tabaru: "Ah. So in the end it's my fault once again"

The nurse puts a hand on Tabaru's forehead

Nurse: "Fortunately it seems your temperature has died down a lot. You might be out of here by tomorrow noon."

"Unfortunately however, you're not the first one here on account of Heat Stroke. There are 7 other Umas here that were admitted because of Heat Stroke. I should really see about making an announcement about this"

Tabaru: "They're all fine though right?"

Nurse: "Of course. As for you."

Her gaze sharpens on Tabaru

Tabaru: "Eep!"

Nurse: "This is the second time you've overtrained yourself. Please remember to take breaks and relax. If I see you in here again because you trained too hard, we are gonna have a very stern talk"

Tabaru: "Y-Yes Ma'am! I understand!"

Nurse: "Good. Now since you are up, I'll let your friends and family know you are okay."

The Nurse swings half of the curtains open, turning on the dim lights in your area

While walking past the library you notice a woman you've never seen before at Tracen. She looks a little familiar, but you can't quite put your finger on who she resembles.

If she's in the library she's probably a new staff member, since she looks a bit lost. You decide to go introduce yourself

"Hey there! Are you new here? My name's (your name). Do you need help?"

​

"Sorry to bother you, my name's Kyushu. Yes I need some help thank you."

​

She seems really polite and elegant, kinda like a Mejiro, but she obviously isn't a Mejiro.

Tabaru stands under the rain, letting it fall onto her face, her breathing relaxed and calm.

"I love when it rains like this"

Tabaru steps onto the training track, rubbing her shoe into the wet turf, she looks back at her trainer one last time for approval, then starts her run down the track.

"Hahahaha! I've missed this feeling so much!"

She comes around to the finish line, clocking 2:51.2 A little too slow for her liking, but it's only natural when you've been in a hospital for weeks on end. She'll have to work hard in order to bring her back to normal, and beyond.

Tabaru goes for another run, this time pacing herself. Normally she would gap the rest and recover over time as the others caught up, but now she's practicing getting to the front, and staying there for the entire race. A real change in strategy, but a smart one if she is unable to retain her stamina.

She clocks 2:12.1 this time, beating her runaway form by a solid 39.1 seconds, a real improvement.

She gets out of the track, and suddenly the rain comes to a stop, the sky slowly clearing. Tabaru looks up at the departing clouds, wondering if there was some sort of divine influence causing the rain to happen during her training.

Nonetheless as per doctor's orders, she's to be supervised at all times by her trainer during training sessions, at which she happily obliges to.

Soon enough they return to Team Lucky's room, and unfortunately Tabaru is dragging in a flash flood with how drenched she is, and so therefore she goes ahead and has to mop the floor, switching over to her non-soaked casual fit.

The one of the accounts some of you might already know since I've explicitly stated it before, but the other two might be very surprising because I use a different RP style for them 🤑

Speaking of roleplay style, I sometimes have a bit of trouble when it comes to interactions because the way I use formats sometimes is not picked up by others.

​

So here's a little breakdown of my interaction format if anyone is interested....

​

1. Italicized: Just your regular action. Normally I would use them like this ( *He blew up the Canal* ) but on Reddit it appears like this ( He blew up the Canal )

2. Quotation Marks: Just your regular talking. Nothing special. "Hi my name is Kylian Mbappe"

​

3. Brackets/Parentheses: Normally I use this for OOC notes, for example. "Man this sand castle is tiny as hell" (does he know he's just massive?) Note: I also use this as OOC over on IA instead of //.

​

4. Small text: Just like how everyone uses it, as a form of whispering, or quietly speaking. I do add onto this with other forms though. Unfortunately Reddit posts don't allow small text but it is made like this ^(text here booooo)

5. Double Lines: Just like how everyone uses it, for OOC conversations. E.g: // This RP dead as hell.

​

6. Bold: I rarely use this, but when I do, it represent shouting or screaming (duh) e.g: "YOU FRAUD!"

​

7. Italics in Quotations: Just like in regular text forms, I use this to put emphasis on words. Famous example: "I didn't kill 12 people", "I didn't kill 12 people"

8. Quotes in Italics: Depends greatly on context. Normally I use it to represent action oriented speaking like texting or on a call. "Hey wsg bbq" but if I use it in conjunction with Small Text, it represents thinking to self. ^("holy moly this guy likes Arby's") <-- thx Reddit

9. Strike through: I will never use this in RP. But when I use it OOC oftentimes it means the same thing as /j. I want stuff you in a burrito and eat it

While strolling around the hospital looking for answers, you see Tabaru in the hallway, she goes into an X-ray room, closing and locking the door behind her.
