U50 Spring Bars
I’m trying to get a definitive answer on the correct spring-bar specs for the Sinn U50.
I removed the factory bracelet from my U50 to install an MN strap and managed to bend the end/plunger on one of the factory spring bars. I want to buy the correct replacements so I can reinstall the bracelet, but I’d also like the most secure option for wearing the watch on an MN or NATO strap.
Here’s the conflicting information I’ve found:
1.5 mm spring bars for the bracelet
1.8 mm spring bars for rubber or textile straps
Different tip diameters or tip lengths—I’m not sure of the correct terminology
The OEM shoulderless bars may be slightly longer than normal 20 mm spring bars
I ordered a Sinn textile strap from WatchBuys, and it will apparently come with spring bars. Their tech told me the U50 bars aren’t proprietary or anything special; he just recommended buying quality bars rather than random ones from Temu or Amazon.
Does anyone know the actual dimensions/specifications for:
The factory U50 bracelet spring bars?
The factory rubber/textile spring bars?
The best shoulderless bars for maximum security with a NATO or MN strap?
Exact measurements, Sinn part numbers, or links to known-good replacements would be greatly appreciated.
