How's Everyone Enjoying BB-On's Dice Run?

How's Everyone Enjoying BB-On's Dice Run?

As the title says, how are you guys doing? How many of you have got lucky?

I love this event. I'm glad they brought the event back. It was fun last time, and it's great getting the dopamine hit of landing some nice stuff.

I had a good streak of luck today. I hit the 1000 coin jackpot twice today and the 4 catalyst jackpot twice today (3 times in all), and the 10 AM jackpot (the guarantee one gold roll items) once so far. Gotta get my characters to 60 cats!

I kept buying more dice with the 1000 tokens. So far I've purchased 47 dice. lol.

Hopefully you all are having good luck too.

An Interesting Slide Shown During Stream

I found this particular slide intriguing and I didn't see anyone pickup on it in chat.

This confirms that the amount of players is larger than the average group of people think it is. This is only the players that COMPLETED wave 7 of Onslaught 3! I myself have not even played level 3.

Here is evidence from the Devs themselves. This suggests the number of unique players is in the 100k-200k range.

Keep in mind, not everyone playing is able to clear Onslaught level 3 or even 2. Also, some folks might not be at end game. Also, Onslaught was only released for the last two months.

This game is making enough money relative to production cost and part of that is there are enough people buying skins.

EDIT *

Jason specifically refers to players as Descendants for a previous slide (talking about vehicles) and so we can infer Descendants mean players in the same way Bungie says Guardians when referring to their Players for Destiny.

See the "-3:28:05" portion of the live stream.

PSA: Tormentor Abyss fight

This boss is a bit easier than the last Abyss fight. It has about 350 million less HP and about 200 million less shields, but more Def. Take a look at the bosses stats in game or via this website below.

https://tfd.gameslantern.com/void-battles/tormentor

Most important things for the fight:

  • DO NOT BRING AN ELECTRIC OR FIRE DESCENDANT INTO THE FIGHT
  • Have at least 8k resist or higher and utilize two HP modules, and a decent amount of def
    • The resist is pretty easy to achieve. The blue and yellow electric resist modules and one component core rolled for Electric resist.
    • You can probably unequip the blue resist module if your external component has an electric resist roll equipped and you have enough survivability.
    • As always, you are no good if you keep on dying and it is better to sacrifice a little dps for survivability
  • Boss is weakest against Toxic skill, moderate resistance against chill and non-attribute
    • 333k toxic resist, 1.8 Mil Chill/Non-Att resist (see link above)
    • Like the last set, the boss is more resistant to guns than skill (by a large factor).
  • Use toxic guns with toxic modules
  • The boss will spawn a spiraling pattern of lightning bolts that continues until the boss is put in a downed state. It is fairly easy to avoid if you pay attention.

Good Descendants to use:

  • Yujin - amazing as a healer in this fight
  • Harris- Can strip armor and go nuts
  • Freyna - Steady and consistent DPS
  • Gley - standard gun build
  • Serena - can fly over the electric crap

I have no doubt someone will have a good Keelan build for this fight.

Feel free to add anything I missed.

PSA: ETA is selling a Descendant Slot

As the title says, make sure to purchase the Descendant slot so you don't have to use real money. This is the most valuable thing to purchase.

These are only offered in the first week of a season or episode.

If you only have so many yellow coins, spend them on this.

PSA: Defiler for Public and Solo

I am by no means an expert on this boss, but I've noticed people bringing characters like Freyna into this fight or folks who get downed in a matter of seconds. If you are dying fast repeatedly it is a sign to do something different. I had to make adjustments to my own character.

This boss has been significantly upgraded from the last time it was released.

The following is recommended to be brought into this fight:

  • Emission Bunny (i.e. what was useful on the Grim Reaper boss)
    • An emission bunny will do nice and steady damage over time
  • Any Gun Descendant with infinite ammo who can buff damage to a good Lighting Atk weapon.
  • Yujin (set as a healer). You won't be DPS, but you will keep the team alive

Tips:

  • LOOK at the info screen to see the bosses stats. Do NOT go into the match with Freyna or Keelan!!!!!
  • This boss deals a LOT of damage and has DOT's which will strip your health over time.
  • Toxic resist seems important for this fight. I recommend equipping the blue toxic resist module and swapping out 2 Defense cores for Toxic % increase cores on your external components. If you have a component or 2 with toxic resist already as a substat, you might not need to equip the toxic module.
    • The bosses regular attack will tickle you if you have high toxic resist.
  • You should have something like 20k+ health. For instance my Bunny has 25k health, 30k Def, 11k+ Toxic resist.
    • You are no good to the team if you are dying every 10 seconds
  • In the phase where the boss calls down Green circles, I've noticed that if you try jumping to the side you will get hit (if you are channeling bunnies fusion beam). You can avoid it if you double jump FORWARDS or BACKWARDS.
  • DO NOT GET CLOSE TO THE BOSS as it will do a smash attack to the ground which does a significant amount of damage even when you have high HP, DEF, and toxic resist.
    • Stay at mid to long range.
  • If someone is downed and the boss is attacking a specific player, the players who are NOT being attacked by the boss should revive the downed player.
  • If someone is downed in the purple puddle, DO not revive the player if they die quickly as they will die again real fast. They need to move out of the puddle.
    • Many matches are lost because a chain of people will keep dying in a row to an attack.
  • Destroy the two pillars it spawns (purple half dome). * Increases damage

A successful run seems to reward 180 tickets so far that I've noticed. I wonder if this is the case due to difficulty of the fight.

If anyone has anything else to recommend, feel free to reply with tips.
