Brandon's Tolkien Lecture
I really enjoyed the Tolkien lecture and just wanted to see what other people who attended thought of it! I really like how he defined epic fantasy and honestly wish I'd brought a pen and paper to take notes 😂 guess I'll have to rewatch it when they post it online
I couldn't ask a question but I think the last question was quite similar where Brandon talked about sub genre hybridization, my question would have been if he could envision the next big fantasy category that would be different from portal heroic and epic fantasy and if he thought he could be the one to build it.
Also wanted to let people know there's still a bunch of signed books at Blackwell's on Broad street! I was there a half hour before they opened because I had to leave town early today and managed to score a hardback mistborn and my partner got isles of the emberdark.
