Dog won’t stop whining when roommate comes home and makes food
Hi My (22yr) dog (6yr old dachund/beagle/Dalmatian mix)won’t stop whining and scratching at the door when my roommate (26) comes home from work. She never had a problem when my roommate comes home from work, just when she’s making a very pungent meal. It’s everything, the pacing back and forth, the pawing at me, the pawing and very loud whining at the door. I let her out and then in the wee hours of the morning she’s pawing at my door to be put on my bed..
My roommate only decides to cook 3 course meals when it’s midnight. My dog eats the recommended amount of kibble daily with lots of treats. I take her out to the restroom 3-4 times a day, especially before bed. Is this a roommate thing or a training thing? Do I leave my dog outside of my room while I sleep? Do I ask my roommate to meal create inside of business hours?
