Hey guys,

I'm hoping to attend the USCGA, however I have a pretty severe hearing loss in my left ear. The Academy website labeled it as "potentially disqualifying," although I know they can waive it if needs be. Additionally, I'm hoping to pursue a career in flying the MH-60. Would my condition be disqualifying for that career field? (Just for some additional reference, I live in Idaho and will have my private pilot's license by the time I apply. My GPA is a 3.8 and I plan on serving a mission before attending.)

P.S. I know there's a USCGA subreddit but from what I can tell it's a dead subreddit so thanks for y'all's help!
