Looking for recent trail conditions for the hike to Hanging Lake via Callaghan/Madely Lake. Older trip reports describe the trail as overgrown, but that can change from year to year.

I’ve searched here, as well as All Trails, Trail Forks, Instagram and ClubTread forums, but this doesn’t seem to be a very popular route, so newer info is limited. Access from Whistler via Rainbow Lake seems more popular but is closed for bridge installations.

Looking to gauge if this is suitable for an 8-year old (who has done Viewpoint Beach in Golden Ears twice). Any intel on recent trail conditions or bear activity is hugely appreciated!
