I recently acquired this bench and I was thinking about staining it and adding some clear coat that will protect it from the rain, sun, etc. Any suggestions? I got it from an auction for $50 and I intend to flip it. I’ve started sanding it. It had shellac on it, I believe, and it was peeling off badly in some areas. I still have a lot left to do, of course. I used AI to get ideas and I attached an image of one that I like .
