LA video engineers / RF nerds looking for contract work?

LA video engineers / RF nerds looking for contract work?

Hi Reddit! Wanted to flag some contract work we’re looking to find folks for at UnlimitedIRL, but also just trying to meet more LA-based video / RF / broadcast people.

At UnlimitedIRL, we sell and support the productions of many of the biggest IRL streamers. We’re a Los Angeles based production and technical solutions company working with creators, artists, brands, and events on streaming systems and onsite event production.

I’m trying to meet more hands-on video engineers, RF people, and broadcast tech nerds in LA who might be interested in contract work!

Some of the areas we’re especially interested in:

CBRS / private cellular
COFDM / wireless video transmission, including BAS or FPV drone workflows
Vislink, Cobham, Wave Central, TVU, LiveU, Dejero, or similar systems
Bonded cellular workflows
OBS / Companion / StreamDeck
SRT, RTMP, NDI, SDI, HDMI, routing, encoders, decoders, and related software / hardware
3D printing and prototyping for mounts, enclosures, and event-specific needs
Networking, RF troubleshooting, and live production problem-solving
AI tools for productivity, automation, and light software workflows

A genuine interest in AI tools is also a huge plus. Even limited software experience paired with vibe coding can unlock a lot of useful workflows for internal tools, automation, Companion setups etc.

Most work would be based out of our Culver City office, with some field work depending on the project. It would start as contract / freelance work, with potential to grow into something more consistent.

DM or comment here with a bit about your background, what gear/workflows you’ve worked with, and what kind of projects you’re interested in! Pay is experience based. We have a job ad here: https://unlimitedirl.com/careers?id=contract-video-rf-engineer

Sorry if this breaks the rules! Finding folks for some of these roles through job boards is tricky.. and this subreddit has always been such a joy.
