Should I just buy a McDermott Lucky?

I live in eastern Oregon and a new bass fisherman this year but there is a lake right outside of my town that has bass but every time I fish it I only catch them on a wacky rig when I will use every soft plastic I got on a weighted Texas rig (There weeds in this lake) even top water or even swim baits but nothing, I don’t have a bunch of lure but a variety of soft plastic I just don’t understand 😂
