Everyone is showing their new arrivals. Always a nice way to celebrate amongst friends. EXCEPT no one has shown the pièce de résistance, the text block opposite the spine!!! I absolutely love when this part is painted.

Now maybe I’m late to the party, but lots of newbies including myself will eat this stuff up. I’ve been a Warhammer nutcase now for over 18 months. Just absolutely loving everything. Got an email today and I said ‘hmmm, black books, what are those?’
IDK what these are or how to get hands on…but hiding out in the open is the ability to download incredible storylines, background information, covers every chapter and some campaigns and battles and the mechanicum. A bloody monstrous treasure of required information that will only eat into my time doing other Warhammer things!!! I attached a screenshot.
So much to uncover. So many ways to gain knowledge. So much time gone. Sorry, not sorry, Librarian/Codicier at heart here! So, have at it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Much maligned in reviews, I found myself feeling somewhat uneasy before I even read the first line!
I am ecstatic to say that I disagree with those who do not like the book, though I may understand why. The Librarian character is based on esoteric ideals and mystery, thus reading required explanatory sections written by the authors can be quite overwhelming, somewhat similar to reading philosophy, or Latin!
Once I made it through the first 80 pages the fun started, though at times I felt I was reading Lovecraft!
My singular recommendation is that Blood of Sanguinius” was a good start to the box set. I’ll give it 7.5 out of 10.
I'm running out of superlatives in describing these special editions as each new release seems to transcend the previous release! This time around it was the smell of the leather as I pulled the set out of its BL box. Colours so rich and deep and the reds are gloriously imperial!
Epic beyond belief…to spend eternity watching over that which was your initial doom! If that narrative isn’t heroic…
This book has skyrocketed into my top ten because of little scenes like this. First 100 is peppered with them. So comical sometimes with certain chapters, the Space Marines seem so bothered saving them…and yet their extreme dedication to that purpose! One of the many dichotomies each Marine must suffer! Crimson Fists Omnibus where are you?
Steve Parker writes them well!!!
What an exquisite treasure this book is! Such an indescribable feeling comes over me! And then almost preordained this…
This feeling of wellness, inevitably it puts to mind the nonsensical burden I’ve taken upon myself of making Games Workshop and Black Library see the errors of their ridiculous sales channel! Sigh.
Back to the book. The red glare on the right on the cardboard is the embossing…LOL it’s almost neon!!! As I’ve said before premium product worthy of the anxiety!
Was going through my online Warhammer stuff and jumped over to 'New & Exclusive' for the helluvit...and saw Sabbat World's was live and in colour! Already purchased mine so I'm helping out any collectors who can't sleep like me...nows your opportunity!!!
What a day! Not only did I get my ‘now regular’ weekly delivery from BL but also received the long awaited Gaunt PODs. Great production value, look beautiful, wait worth it. I’ll buy this way again. Closed on January 12/26 and received today, so approximately 4 months. Hope you enjoy the pics. PS that’s my Peregrine statue overlooking the procedure LOL!
Absolutely fantastic book. A bit scrappy at the start with slightly awkward plot development but past the first third or so, whew, it gets going...recommend reading it before you start Heresy, at worst before SoT.
This one belongs in the collection as it is integral to setting down historical precedence.
