Summoned 👻
Sooo it’s my very first time being summoned for jury duty. Don’t know how any of this works so all help is appreciated. Good chance I still don’t even get picked, but I think I filled my form out a little wonky so I may need a new one if my office would even send one? Don’t understand the pay portion because why am I being paid 7.25 to dictate whether or not an individual is murderer or not?
Also will I ACTUALLY have to go to jail if I don’t attend or essentially “lie” about why I should be exempt or it to be postponed? I don’t have a vehicle of my own but still have ways to get there just inconvenienced ways. I get dropped off at my work, my bfs family has back problems so can’t driver for herself, the dad has work at home he can’t leave for unless a notice is sent in advance and my bf works. So the day I go to duty literally has to be a day that falls in the best convenience.
I put this info on the form ^^^ but then talked with someone else and they said they could take me hopefully so idk how that will work with the form. I’m scared I’ve literally never done anything like this in my life. No tickets, no speeding, no jail time, etc. I have 0 idea what to do
