A.I. as Maw Mouths
Some spoiler-ish bits here regarding the nature of a particular mal.
This came into my head from Paris Paloma’s song Miyazaki, inspired by a reaction the animator had to a presentation of early AI generated animation (before all the massive art theft including heavy training on Ghibli art style for images). The lyrics in the song describe being “chased by a monster of a thousand voices that always wants one more.” This really clicked with me and made me think >!of the wealthy tech businesses as the enclavers in the Scholomance series, perpetuating a cycle that puts others at risk for their benefit. The thought of creating a monster that can’t be killed (normally) to benefit the few, that then goes off and adds more lives to its mass without any means of reining it in or controlling it…!< I now can’t help but see a connection to AI and Maw Mouths.
Anyone else listen to this song/album or anyone else have similar thoughts regarding this?
