I hate having to be the one to issue reports in my store, but my hand is forced

I’m at home off the clock but my keys are missing, so I spent $20 on a McDelivery order. Just a Bacon Egg & Cheese Biscuit, a large hot caramel latté, and an apple pie (and the default $3 delivery tip and a round-up-for-RMHC donation). The driver gets to my store and waits for a while, before finally telling me they don’t have any apple pies up and needing to know what I want instead. When I ask what they can substitute at that moment, the dasher drives away with the food and claims there is no substitute, which is a major blight on my team’s end. When they get here, I learn it’s not the actual dasher registered on the network who did the job, so there’s a million different people to blame.

For context, this is a replacement screen, for what was already a replacement to my original iPhone 15 Pro Max. Yes, I know I need to charge it. Not the most pressing matter right now. Anyway, I already have my 18 Pro Max preorder automated for tomorrow afternoon when it goes live

Just had a package delivered and the funniest thing happened

Essentially, at my j*b, we have one UPS delivery driver who’s like THE guy for all our shipments (we even let him slip behind the counter to drop off packages), and he also comes in to order time to time. Since I’m the hospitality lead and the face he sees most often, he was surprised to see me today and just said “You’re not at w*rk!” when he saw me on my porch petting my cat

The ONE DAY I’m not there, they decide to not read screens or put on labels, and now I have no dinner. That’s plenty to report to my bosses tomorrow, because I know whose handiwork this is

“Nerd day” today at w*rk and we wear nerd gear and get our own blocky sunglasses. Tomorrow’s “color war” and since crew wears blue, I’ve been greenlit to wear the event polo

I don’t even need to dress up any differently than normal to look like a nerd here lol. That’s the beauty of my outfit

My parents would k*ll me if they saw me drinking an energy drink

But this is just my way of rewarding myself for all the BS I’ve been through today as one of 4 people w*rking in customer service (2 of them being managers) amidst all the chaos. I wanted to test it not because I’m an energy drink guy, but I wanted the equivalent caffeine of about a cup of coffee and a new experience

9 hours survived today. I was not ready for what we faced (read desc)

This was a message from the store manager (the highest boss of the store), asking me to stay late on the day of a McCafé launch. I was expecting the Red Bull Energizer drinks/Red Bull cans, but what I was NOT expecting was a total of 10 new drinks I’d have to learn to make, and 2 new non-crafted, pre-packaged drinks:
