In love starting Debian every morning...
And all the apps I need open themselves after I log in. 😁👍

Makes me laugh every time.
Anyone here who does this, have some dignity.
I didn't spend time trying to win, just to to give you a free pass.
There used to be a court on the first floor of the Ennex, now closed.
I'm about to head into the CBD now, and will need something other than HJ and KFC.
Thanks in advance.
Trying to update from the Software app after installing 32-bit Bookworm.
Not sure what to do to fix it.
Why don't radio stations just stream?
Broadcasting seems expensive and unnecessary?
I personally have three radios. One is turned on one for about 16 hours each day, tuned to a FM classical music station.
Hi all.
I'm using Reddit on Desktop browser.
I removed a comment in a thread, and left a mod comment about why the comment was removed.
I have since changed my mind, and have allowed the comment, but now I can't find a way to remove the mod comment.
Please help.
I guess this is a (very short) open letter to the Debian Team.
All other major Linux distros dropped 32-bit ages ago.
Bookworm is the only major upstream 32-bit distro, upon which about 4-5 other 32-bit distros are based.
Bookworms EOL is 10 June 2026.
Once 32-bit Bookworm is gone, there will no safe 32-bit Linux that can power i386 machines, and my options are to throw my two i386 machines immediately in the bin, or continue to use them (unsafely) for years after Bookworm's EOL.
Please consider continuing providing security updates (and nothing else) for 32-bit Bookworm for the forseable future (1-2 years?). I'm not asking just for myself, but for everyone still using perfectly capble i386 machines all over the world, running 32-bit Bookworm and distros based on it.
Thank you for your consideration.
I started a thread in the Debian sub:
https://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comments/1tcg65b/is_bookworm_32bit_still_maintained/
One commenter said:
"After that there's LTS and ELTS but that may or may not include i386 ("32-bit") - to be determined. But as 2026-06-10 is coming up rather soon, that, at least for LTS, will be determined by then, or sooner. Likewise for ELTS and 2028-07-01 ... at least if LTS supports i386 (ELTS certainly won't support what LTS doesn't/didn't support)."
But the Q4OS download page for 32-bit Aquarius mentioned that EOL for Aquarius will be 2028.
What happens if Debian decide to drop 32-bit Bookworm after EOL? Bookworm was the last Debian version to include 32-bit. The current version Trixie (Debian 13) completely dropped 32-bit. Ubuntu, Mint and all the mainstream disros dropped 32-bit a long time ago.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: What I'm really asking is, when 32-bit Debian is killed off in a few weeks, will every current 32-bit distro die? There's only about 4 or 5 left, and most if not all are based on 32-bit Debian.
There are still plenty of 32-bit machines in the world that can run 32-bit Linux. Otherwise they'd just be thrown in the bin.
I installed Bookworm (32-bit) on an old Windows 8 tablet, ran "sudo apt update", and got the message "All packages are up to date".
I had downloaded the ISO from the Debian website onto a thumb drive, and the tablet was not connected to the internet during the installation.
I thought there would at least be some security patches? My understanding is that Bookworm will be maintained until 2027?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: BTW, Bookworm is running great on the intel atom quad-core machine with 2 GB ram that was almost unusable running Windows 10 (worked great with Windows 8). Gnome and Wayland installed.
I have two external monitors connected to my laptop.
As can be seen from the picture, I have set up the left monitor to be landscape, and the right to be portrait, and positioned them to be above my laptop monitor, so moving my mouse off the top of my laptop will put the cursor in either monitor.
But every time I reboot my computer, the external monitors are both in landscape mode, and are in a row to the right of the laptop monitor (so I need to drag my mouse right to put the cursor in monitor 2, and then even more right to put the cursor in 3). Very unintuitve and inconvenient when need to working with three monitors.
Is there a solution to this problem? I'm using Gnome 48.7, in X11, Debian 13.
Thanks in advance.
Why is selecting to remove duplicates from the Non-text and Month columns only removing two duplicates? There are still duplicates in both columns.
I'm expecting one row with "True" and one row with "False" to be displayed, and no rows with duplicated months.
EDIT: I'm using Excel 2019. Thanks in advance.
I downloaded a non-live 32-bit Debian Bookworm ISO to install on an old 32-bit Windows 8 tablet, which has only one micro usb port. But the iso boots into grub, which does not have touchscreen functionality (no drivers loaded), so I can't select to install.
So I need a live 32-bit ISO of Debian Bookworm that will boot into a live environment with touchscreen functionality to install. But I'm unable to find a 32-bit live iso of Bookworm (Trixie ended support for 32-bit).
My only other option is to buy a OTG hub that can provide extra ports for a keyboard to make selections in grub to install Bookworm, but I want to try to use a live ISO first.
Thanks in advance.
Plenty of BI sellers in the CBD, and they can process payments from your phone.
I tend to buy the Xmas Calendar at Xmas, just to support one or two sellers, but otherwise I don't even know what TBI is about. Is it just a magazine with local articles, competing with local newspapers?
I wonder how much the seller earns per issue sold.
EDIT: There's one seller with a goatee, sunnies and a backward cap that plays LOUD music from a Bluetooth speaker. I don't think he realises that noise pollution keeps people away. I give him a wide berth whenever I pass him.
These are all the folders in the JoplinBackup folder.
The folder names seem to be timestamps, which would make the folder on the right edge the latest.
So from Joplin, I choose File > Import > Jex - Joplin Export File, and selected the Jex file in the folder on the right, but that only restored two notes. I also tried File > Import > Raw, but got a message about something not being in the right format.
What am I doing wrong?
With OneNote, there was just one file that needs to be restored that contained all the tabs in OneNote. Joplin is making the process more difficult than it needs to be.
