Duas Eclipses by 発熱巫女~ず on 4-track 7 1/2 ips reel playing on an Akai GX-635D.

I’ve been playing with recording modern music to high quality reels for about a year now, but I’ve almost perfected my methods and have found that reels are truly the highest echelon of musical listening. It really just brings out an intangible feeling to whatever’s being played.

I recorded the music from a ripped CD onto my PC, then ran it through an optically connected Schiit Modius DAC, and then to the R2R. It is as perfect as I could get it. On this particular reel, I have a selection of my favorite early 発熱巫女 music, along with some Shibayan bossa nova tracks as well.

I can post more videos of different tracks, but for now, enjoy the endless rotating of magnetic reels playing back music never once before recorded on such a medium.
