I know it's fuente friday but...

Plasencia year of the Tiger. 1st anniversary smoke.

Had this a bit over a year. Only get one 1st anniversary and I only every bought one of these.

The first third is very much black pepper and cedar. As though plasencia is trying for nod to the Fuentes.

The 2nd third does seem to soften a lot on the pepper. With cedar and some leather being the main notes. A slight toasted/fired tinge is also there. (No coning so I dont think im going too fast)

The final note brings it all up a bit with charred cedar, and general spices with a hint of sweetness.

Great cigar. Saw some reviews talk of strong leather notes and im grateful it was more cedar than that. Just my personal preferences at this point.

Ford Galaxie 500, gorgeous

At the cigar lounge I usually frequent. Tasteful and mild (personal opinion) upgrades.

Bullseye

Couldnt help it.

Eye of the bull, nearly a year asleep

It opens like a sweeter fuente don carlos. A hint of maybe molasses. With your normal cedar and pepper Fuente signature

Its has a bit of a shift to a coffee and charred wood (maybe oakey) note with the spice softening to more baking spices than red pepper at the end.

Construction: impeccable.  Smoke volume: high.

This one you should get..as silly as $15-25 for a small stick seems. At least try it. Let it rest a lot

Asylum 13 Maduro in Robusto.

Never had anything normal size from asylum. This was quite a surprise for $8-$10 stick. Considering how crowded that price range is it can be hard to stand out.

Like cool, dark and strong flavor? Here you go.

The first third has a peppery spice that dies off really quickly but not completely. It gives way to a bit of cocoa with the main background being coffee.

Moving through the cigar this coffee (some say bitter espresso) gets stronger. The cocoa remains and a molasses sweetness joins.

Final bit has a bit more of an earthy note with the pepper increasing if you retrohale (I only do a few times per cigar).

Smoke output was pretty high and construction was good. Great value in a cigar here.

Fantastic cigar. Period.

This starts with a cocoa/baking note with thick and creamy smoke. The back note is a earthy tone thay has a slightly sweet taste.

The middle you get a little woody to join the mix. The strong cocoa remains. A slight spice.

The final bit i get more coffee than earth and the cocoa continues. Spice rose just a bit but a great finish.

Lots of smoke, perfect construction.

Picking up more to let them begin resting asap.
