Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my 6-month-old son’s name situation for future UK documents/passports.

He was born in the UK and his UK birth certificate includes:
[title name] + first name + surname. (everyone in my family has the title name in all official documents)

Later, we made his Lebanese passport (we are Lebanese on a work visa), but due to newer naming rules in Lebanon, the passport only shows:
first name + surname
(without the title name).

We also have an official document explaining why the extra title name was omitted from the Lebanese passport.

In the future, we actually prefer to continue using the shorter version of the name (the one on the Lebanese passport) and not use the title name anymore.

My questions are:

• Will this cause issues later when applying for a British passport?
• Is it necessary to amend/change the UK birth certificate? If yes, how does the process go?
• Has anyone dealt with similar differences between UK birth certificates and foreign passports for children?
