I rebuilt my free marathon plan builder—can you help me find what’s missing?

I’ve been rebuilding a free marathon training plan builder and would really appreciate some honest feedback from other runners.

You choose:

  • A 12, 16, 18 or 20-week plan
  • 3–6 running days per week
  • One of four established training methods
  • A goal time between 2:30 and 6:00

It builds your personalized plan in about 11 seconds, including every run, training pace and calendar date. I also added adjustments for runners training through the Texas summer, when heat and humidity can make standard pace recommendations unrealistic.

Once it’s built, you enter your email address and the complete plan is delivered directly to your inbox. There’s nothing to buy—the marathon plan is free:

I’d really value some honest feedback:

  • Is the plan easy to build and understand?
  • Do the weekly mileage and workouts feel realistic?
  • Does the email delivery work smoothly?
  • What would you need to see before trusting it for a marathon training cycle?
  • Is anything confusing, missing or broken?

I’ve spent a lot of time rebuilding it, but I’m probably too close to it to notice every issue. Feel free to be direct—I’d rather hear what needs fixing now.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is coming to North Texas

We get into the medal (which is shaped like the Cup), the brand-new course that finishes downhill with the lake in view, the live music and Flying Saucer after-party, age group awards featuring the official Dallas World Cup ball, and the virtual option pulling sign-ups from as far away as Houston.

Cindy also pulls back the curtain on everything else the Organizing Committee is doing leading up to and during the World Cup — the FIFA Fan Festival at Fair Park, the Unity Cup youth soccer tournament, the 26 mini pitches going into underserved communities, the nine matches in Dallas (including the semifinal on July 14), and what it took to bring this generational event back to North Texas for the first time since 1994.
